Drummers fight crackdown at Santa Cruz farmers market

That was eloquent, on-point and very well said. I think I love you. (You are a guy, right?)  (Sep 11, 2008 | post #225)

Maybe we could purchase a vendor spot and sell earplugs and gas masks.  (Sep 11, 2008 | post #207)

Based on Spin Doc's picture, I'd say your firing circle would be right up his alley. (There's $20 in it for you if you set up next to the drumming circle next week.)  (Sep 11, 2008 | post #199)

Agreed! There are a few really good groups that play across from Cinema 9 every now and again, and we love taking our kids down there. They are professional, respectful, talented and add to the ambiance of downtown.  (Sep 11, 2008 | post #166)

Thank you. I hope you continue to spread your message--and your music--through your respectful, talented and tolerant means. Play on, and best of luck to you.  (Sep 11, 2008 | post #158)

Yes, and since it's about the right to assemble and freedom and my rights, I have the right to shop at a Farmer's Market without being auditorily assaulted--I don't care by whom. If the drummers want to drum, they have that right--but their rights don't supercede mine by any stretch. For all of you who are disgusted by the raucousness of the SC Market, come to the one in Felton on Tuesdays from 2:30-6:30. Good produce, awesome crepes, a section for kids, fresh flowers and NO DRUMMERS!  (Sep 11, 2008 | post #156)

And according to all your other postings in this forum, you hate US because of where WE live. Talk about reverse discrimination... P.S. Congrats on not using the word "bourgeois " in your latest rant.  (Sep 10, 2008 | post #104)

You live in a crime-ridden, gang- and drug-infested area with low socio-economic mobility. Most people there have limited education and even less desire to move up and out. WHO do you think should be trying to up the pride and respect in their 'hood? Sounds like you've been drinking the 50-Cent KoolAid.  (Sep 10, 2008 | post #54)

Oh my gosh. A. I don't start watching mind-control TV until 10pm, thank you very much. And the reason I can watch said TV is because I CAN AFFORD CABLE. B. The rest of the county does plenty of "arguing and loving and talking and LIVING." We just don't do it with a meth pipe in one hand and a switchblade in the other in the middle of the street at 1am in a drunken stupor while yelling at our homegirls in Spanish, comprendes? C. We don't have an 8pm police curfew anyplace in this state that I'm aware of. State your facts. D. You take pride in being too poor to live in a nice house and own nice things? And you think other people are the problem?? Hey, enjoy your crackhouse decor and your 40. See you at the soup kitchen. (I'll be the one serving your idiot a-s-s.)  (Sep 10, 2008 | post #18)

Uh, $39.95 versus $150.00. The end.  (Sep 10, 2008 | post #16)
