T.I. and Ciara on bill to groove at the fair

Isn't TI the rapper who started a brawl in the middle of Bogart's nightclub after his show in Cincinnati last May. Then his entourage was involved in a rolling gunbattle through the streets of Cincy that left one person dead and three others shot. Yeah, remind me to be the hell out of on Indy Aug 17th.  (Jun 24, 2007 | post #2)

Chrysler, Getrag set to announce new factory Monday

Do you happen to know if the positions are SBU and in what field? I know there are still SBU engineers laid off from the closing of the Indy Foundry in 2005.  (Jun 23, 2007 | post #94)

The demand for PMI by home buyers is on the rise

Chrysler, Getrag set to announce new factory Monday

I'm curious if anybody knows if the new CVT transmission thats in use in the caliber and compass models is planned for any other current or upcoming platforms. I drove a caliber when they were first introduced and I have to say it was the smoothest running trans I've ever experienced in a Chrysler. Since its purchased from an outside supplier from CA instead of manufactured in Kokomo, I'm wondering if Chrysler is going to try to put these in their larger cars and in turn reducing the production at Kokomo.  (Jun 23, 2007 | post #92)

The demand for PMI by home buyers is on the rise

This article made absolutely no sense to me. PMI is an insurance policy for the bank's money, paid for by the homeower. It protects the lender's money, not the homeowner's. That's why its better to put 20% down if at all possible to avoid PMI. Another thing, a bank will not automatically drop your PMI once your equity reaches 20%. I know people who have mistakingly paid PMI for years after their equity was sufficant to have it to be removed. A bank will not point this out to you. Its like found money to them and hope you keep paying it forever.  (Jun 23, 2007 | post #2)

T.I., Ciara to perform at state fair

Wasn't TI the rapper that got into a brawl at Bogart's Nightclub last May after his show in Cincinnati? It then proceeded into a rolling gunbattle between his crew and others through the streets of Cincinnati leaving one person dead and 3 others injured. Can we expect similar excitment here this August?  (Jun 22, 2007 | post #50)

Burglars take $400,000 from woman, 89

I comprehend that you think stealing from an 89 yr old widow is acceptable. That means you are a lowlife dirtbag heading for prison soon enough.  (Jun 21, 2007 | post #95)

Labor unions turn to coercion

The ballot box seems like the fair, democratic way to run an election. Unlike Card checks which are a last ditch effort to hand pick and pressure employees to accept a union they don't want. Of course, the union learned this techique from the very best when its early leader Walter Reuther moved to the workers' paradise of Stalinist Russia in the 1930s. When he came back to US to run the UAW , he organized the union using the Russian Politboro as a template. So next time you say unions made America great, you should actually say Stalinist Russia made unions great.  (Jun 21, 2007 | post #4)

On the news they said the neighbors were also hit. The only one they didn't break into had a burglar alarm sign out front. I'm calling ADT.  (Jun 21, 2007 | post #38)

Powerball, Lotto prizes rise for Saturday

Actually, the last state I was in ( Washington State) had no state income tax and a property tax rate that is half what we pay here. Plus the electric ulitity costs are lower due to hydroelectric and nuclear power.  (Jun 21, 2007 | post #8)

Burglars take $400,000 from woman, 89

I saw her on the news last night. She looked like a sweet elderly lady who's greatest concern was the loss of her late husband's WW2 medals including his purple heart. Why does the Star never give descriptions of the preps, as it could help jog someone's memory. Witnesses on the late news last night said 3 black teenage/young adut males in a red pickup were seen at the crime scene during the time that the lady was gone. I know it is not a complete description, but I would think they would pubilsh all that they know for general public safety.  (Jun 21, 2007 | post #9)
