I've gotta say, that little article presents a very limited, inaccurate view of cuckoldry. There are a lot of ways to look at the fetish. In my experience, men who are into it very rarely use a chastity belt and don't even always watch. It can run the gamut from submissive men who watch and are humiliated or are forced to participate to men who simply know their wives take other lovers and take pleasure in that. That being said, it's a VERY popular fetish. I suspect there is a lot of truth to the idea of how men train themselves - whether it is a physical or mental thing or, most likely, a combination of both. I fully believe that if a man bothers to take it slow and be in control when he masturbates, it will make it easier to take it slow and be in control when he's with a woman. It seems to me that there are men who believe they are in control of their orgasm and men who believe it "happens to" them. I don't think there are two kinds of orgasms, I think there are two kinds of men/attitudes. I only know how it sounds on my side of the phone. I have a LARGE sample group for THAT study ;-). That being said, Pamela and Flyboy, what do we say to the guys whose wives won't talk openly about these things? I used to be sort of black and white on the issue but now I see it as more complex. Women are FAR too often unreasonably closed-minded about men's sexuality and sexual needs. Saying that these men should 'fess up when it might very well be the end of their marriage or marital happiness and stability is kind of like suggesting they throw the baby out with the bath water, yes? This issue is very frustrating and baffling to me. I think it's between the spouses. For most people anything sexual, emotional, and/or intimate outside of the relationship that is purposefully and willfully kept secret from your spouse is a problem whether you call it cheating or not. If you're doing something that you would have to lie about if your spouse became suspicious, does it matter if you call it cheating or not? How does it help anyone if a bunch of people in an online forum tell you, "no, it's not cheating" if your spouse isn't going to see if that way? And if s/he isn't going to think it's cheating, why not just talk about it? I've heard of some relationships with a "don't ask, don't tell" arrangement about such things but I can't understand how that can work - don't you have to have an understanding about what's allowed in the first place? Not the kind of opinion you might expect from someone in my profession. I think it depends on how you define promiscuous. Of course a guy doesn't want to do anything but sleep with a girl if "promiscuous " means she sleeps around - because that's all she's there for, too. (Unless it's a cuckold arrangement) But if promiscuous means she HAS slept around but is in a relationship or wants a relationship with a particular guy, if she has self-respect and he respect her and has confidence in himself, it's entirely possible for a guy to like a girl like that and enjoy her for her experience and love of sex. If a guy is secure and self-confident enough, he can really have something wonderful with a girl who has a great love for sex. As long as promiscuous does not equate with dishonest (which I don't think it does), a man who is in a relationship with a girl with a lot of sexual experience is going to have a REALLY good time.  (Apr 5, 2009 | post #29)

I can see having an orgasm and being less aroused than other times or having an orgasm and still not having a fulfilling sexual experience but - not at ALL aroused? Still, it's a worthwhile point to be made. Men think that if a woman has an orgasm, he's done a good job.
