Dr. Arrowsmith, Arrowsmith Eye Institute, West End

It very well could be. All communication has been through email. I emailed him back and told him I am not paying for MY records. I also reminded him that I still had 2 years left on my contract and he owed me my records. Let me know if you hear anything else.  (Nov 20, 2011 | post #134)

Just received an email from Dr. Arrowsmith . Here it is: ------------------ ----- Dear Former Patient, RE: Update This an update regarding your records request.  There are approximately 100 requests being processed at this time.  I am working through these as rapidly as possible and in the order in which they were received.   The process has changed somewhat to increase security and to accommodate individual needs.  A  Records Release Authorization form is attached. Please print this, fill it out completely and mail it back to me by US Mail. I will need this before your records can be sent to you.  Note that there is a small charge for the records explained in the release form; please send your check for this along with the authorization form.   The sooner I receive these, the sooner I will be able to send your records.  Thanks for your understanding of this process. Best wishes, Peter N. Arrowsmith, M.D. ------------------ ------------------ -- The "small" charge is $20 electronic delivery & $25 hard copy by mail. Does anyone know if this is legal? I am going to see if my current eye doctor can request my records. (Since now we have an address.) What a mess!  (Nov 18, 2011 | post #129)

Arbys

They should have opened Arbys near the interstate. That way they would have had a steady flow of traffic. I heard they paid too much for the property and too much to buy into the franchise. A lose at the start. I don't know about the employees or management but the food was good the times I ate there. I hate to hear about any business closing in a small town and wish the former employees good luck.  (Nov 9, 2011 | post #9)

I also emailed last week and received no response. Be sure if you do receive the records that there is not a disclaimer attached stating that if you open your email/ records that you release Dr. A of any future claims or wrong doing. It is obvious that Dr. A now has an attorney. Hopefully someone will take on our case as a whole and we can all receive some sort of compensation. Tpdb  (Oct 30, 2011 | post #119)

I also suffer from severe dry eye due to this surgery. Please go to another doctor and have them give you a prescription for restasis. It has helped me tremendously. Before I started using it I was using 15 to 20 eye drops, per eye, everyday. With restasis I cut that number in half. Good luck Tpdb  (Oct 30, 2011 | post #118)

In response to COA Dr. Arrowsmith performed my husband's surgery three years prior to my own. I was very concerned about the side effects concerning LASIK surgery and read about the risk in his informational package. I asked Dr. Arrowsmith and his staff point blank about dry eye syndrome and they responded with the same answer: if you do not have dry eye before surgery you will more than likely not have it after surgery. (I never had dry eye and I wore contacts for 15 years.) I would not have a complaint with mild or moderate dry eye syndrome, but my diagnosis is severe. I was using 15-30 drops per eye daily and wanted to try Restasis. (talk about expensive) I tried to contact Dr. Arrowsmith's office repeated times and had no success. (there are more details, but I won't go into them) I finally saw another sugeon and he also diagnosed me with chronic severe dry eye and prescribed restasis. I am better and I do not have to use as many drops, but it is still very expensive. I was aware of the possible side effects, but was very unprepared for the results. Dr. Arrowsmith should have contacted his patients and told them he was closing his office. (email, postcard, letter, anything) He should have also gave his patients the opportunity to pick up their records. We all live and learn, Linda  (Aug 5, 2011 | post #79)

Has anyone heard or know CFO Capital Partners? Their office is suppose to be at: 437 Foxtract Road, 1st Floor Bridgeport, NY When I look at the map it looks like a residential area. Thanks for any info. TPDB  (Apr 18, 2011 | post #1)

If you read the above post, it looks like Dr Arrowsmith closed this past summer due to financial reasons. I too suffer with chronic dry eye. I had to go to another surgeon and obtained a prescription for restasis and it has helped tremendously. I went from using 20-30 drops, each eye daily, to app. 10 drops each eye daily. Good luck.  (Mar 7, 2011 | post #11)

Hi, Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I had my surgery a few years ago and I curse the day I had it. I now have chronic severe dry eye, from Lasik, and wanted Dr. Arrowsmith to call in Restasis for me to try. (guess that won't happen now.) I am so disappointed with the Arrowsmith Eye Institute. Thanks again  (Feb 10, 2011 | post #4)
