Nuclear Power - Owenton, KY

There are so many clean and better ways to do this. With fracking causing earthquakes more frequently, you might as well put a bomb factory in run by monkeys. Solar power Wind turbines Hydroelectric There are ways that are just as good and won't blow up in your face.  (Jul 16, 2015 | post #16)

Do you know the saying "Bad news sells" ? Tragedy and things that are violent or angry are shocking to people. It gets their attention, therefore making for a good story. That's why the news reports the most dramatic, shocking stories it can. It's eye catching, so it keeps your attention longer and puts their ratings up. The same can be said for heart-string pulling stories from time to time, but those kind of stories require the person to get emotionally involved in a way that they have empathy for the person they are hearing about in the news, which is not always successful. Its easier to just be angry or shocked, because those feelings are not so personal and can be let go of by venting. However, stories that touch our hearts change our lives emotionally. That is a big commitment and one that some people just are not willing to make. The same can be said for how we focus on things. Its easy to bash someone with hate and intolerance, or riddle them with shock and awe, and use that as a focus to achieve a goal of some kind. But to focus unconditional love toward someone, especially a stranger, takes a lot more patience and tolerance. You can use this thread as an example. There have been many times I would have loved to have ranted at people for the rudeness they have shown. And no doubt, had I wanted to, focused on them in a way that it may have impacted them in a "revenge " type of way. But other than momentary self-satisfaction, nothing really would have been gained by that. I have learned to step back, and look at things as if I were watching through a window and could not be seen. I imagine what may have caused this person to react in such a way, and sympathize with them through my own harsh experiences. Then I try to show them understanding. Its hard, but its worth it, and often changes the lives of both them and me. Learn to focus on things that make you happy. Enjoy simple beauty, such as flowers and children laughing. Slow down, savor your favorite food almost as if you were eating it in a trance. Then apply this to everything you do as much as possible, bringing joy to things you don't care for. I'll leave you with this quote: '“If while washing dishes, we think only of the cup of tea that awaits us, thus hurrying to get the dishes out of the way as if they were a nuisance, then we are not "washing the dishes to wash the dishes." What's more, we are not alive during the time we are washing the dishes. In fact we are completely incapable of realizing the miracle of life while standing at the sink. If we can't wash the dishes, the chances are we won't be able to drink our tea either. While drinking the cup of tea, we will only be thinking of other things, barely aware of the cup in our hands. Thus we are sucked away into the future -and we are incapable of actually living one minute of life.”" ― Thích Nhất Hạnh, The Miracle of Mindfulness :) Its all about focus.  (Jul 16, 2015 | post #147)

I am so glad you are getting something out of the thread. We have an occasional ass-goblin that likes to hope in here and stir the pot now and then, but for the most part I have tried to be as gentle-tempered and understanding as I could and stay on topic. What you are doing by visualizing kicking him and punching him over and over is the basics of most prayer and spell work. Its simply focus. You can achieve this kind of focus towards anything, such as work, attaining money, bringing love in to your life, or simply acquiring peace and happiness. The Baptists call it "praying ". However we tend to take it a little farther by lighting a candle or doing more in order to help us focus and show commitment. You might try looking online for some guided meditations on Youtube, that help you relax and focus on being happy, finding peace, or something more positive that suits you. I would personally try to visualize him learning his lesson and becoming a productive, helpful, loving husband (something more positive and productive, rather than just revenge) The reason I'm thinking like this might be a good idea is because if you are like a lot of people who believe in religious dogma, there is this thing called Karma, where all the energy you send out in to the universe tends to multiply and return to you. It is why most religious cultures tend to teach kindness and warn against revenge or sending ill thoughts toward them. However, I would also want to point out that in my own personal opinion, sometimes I feel like Karma needs a little push, and that by visualizing these things after having something bad done to you is just my way of sending back what they had already done to me. I have to be very careful doing this not to do more than what justice would do though, or that would be a bad thing. It is a very double edge sword. Harboring destructive feelings is not good for you. It builds up causing stress that is not needed in your life. Stress can do horrible things to a person, lowering immunity and making you sick. However, constantly thinking negatively towards someone can be just as bad for you. I try to remove people like that out of my life and surround myself by people that make me feel good about who I am. The most important thing you can do is make a conscience change in your life for something more positive. Cut out drama, liars, and hurtful people, and surround yourself with people that give you hope and make you laugh. I think by changing your surroundings, you'll see a big change in how you think. Cleaning house, removing clutter helps some too. :) Think happy!  (Jul 13, 2015 | post #142)

I can see that you are one of my adoring fans who I have somehow irritated in some fashion or another. In fact, thanks to a *cough* little research *cough* I actually know who this is. So I am just going to laugh, shake my head, and say... isn't that just the pot calling the kettle black.  (Jun 27, 2015 | post #139)

No, you are just curious. I would caution you against "dabbling " with things that are used to contact spirits. I realize that Ouija boards are meant to be merely toys, but in the right hands and with the proper focus, a person could, in theory, open themselves up to energies they may not understand. It is best if you are going to play with these things to carefully research them first, read the warnings, and learn how to do so safely... possibly even find someone who is experienced to help mentor you. I realize that Kentucky being the Bible belt, there are still a lot of people who are backward thinking and closed minded. Bullying is still very real here and peer pressure can get very difficult when people think you are different. But there are a lot of "different " people out there, and it doesn't take much to find them if one were just to look.  (Jun 27, 2015 | post #137)

Well to be clear, I am not a Wiccan. I'm a Witch, or to be more exact, a practitioner of Mystical and Metaphysical Sciences. I look at what I do as seriously as anyone who is good at their jobs, such as doctors, clergy, and teachers would, and I am no more prone to having wild orgies as part of my job description as any one else I mentioned would be, Wiccans included. As far as what would look good on the end of your appendages, I pity you, for those sound like the words of a lonely and desperate man that has been relentlessly turned down by his peers so many times that he has become bitter and cold toward others. I will pray for you in hopes that you find someone that will fill that void in your life, and hope that someday your anger eases and you find peace. I haven't seen anything for a game called the Witch hunter. I have seen Witcher 3 coming out which looks interesting. There is an older board game called The Witch Hunter that was put out in 2008, which bases stuff off the "6 magi" and the works of Solomon which caught my attention. Personally, I like Minecraft. I find it interesting that there is some element of mythology in video games which make them feel more realistic than just making it up from scratch. But its really important to remember that video games are just that... games. They have nothing to do with the reality of religion, culture, or spirituality except in very rare cases where the game was built that way for a reason.  (Jun 16, 2015 | post #133)

I might be able to help you. But do not expect me to just cast a spell and make everything change for you. That is not how things work (although there are those who argue that this is exactly how it works). Please contact me off thread and we will discuss things. You can reach me through my profile. I actually understand what you are going through. I have been there myself. We will see if I can do anything that will give you any peace of mind. =)  (May 31, 2015 | post #129)

Its hard to find a job when you can't walk. Even harder when your belly is empty and your fingers are numb from the cold. HARDER STILL when people rumor about you and treat you like you are less than human. You want Rob to stop taking your 10 cents a day? Fine. Give him a job he can do. Otherwise shut your ignorant mouth. What he does is not any of your business. Go back to spending 6000 a year to your boss's boss to provide you a job. You had the audacity to call me a "welfare drawing "witch". ... complete idiot that lives in a fantasy world". Really? I have more educated dust mites living under my pinky fingernail than you. My ignorance comes in taking the time to actually try to educate you to the facts on welfare, which seems to be the equivalent of teaching pigs to sing at this point... and it is becoming quite apparent that pigs are probably far more intelligent and negotiable to deal with. In either case, I have given up all hope for you to personally understand what is being said to you. My hope now is that other, far more open-minded and intelligent readers, will find this thread and discover it to be enlightening. However if your brain cells do decide to copulate and spark, and you don't want to take my word for it, Google is your friend. I am sure that research would do you a world of good and may very well expand your vocabulary. You might even be able to make a witty comeback for a change. It couldn't do you any harm, that is for sure. There are lots of educational materials on the web, not only about the topics we were talking about, but great stories and tools that could be useful... like how to harvest herbs, preserve meats, and what happens to fools that piss off witches. Cute story here: http://www.persnic ketysnark.com/2009 _10_25_archive.htm l Anywho.... I've wasted enough time with you. I have better things to do. Its spring. The grass is green. I have garden to plan and herbs to collect and jams to make! (Yes, I actually DO do things... shocking) And tonight I will pull out a candle and place on my altar... and I will do something you probably didn't expect. I'll pray for you.  (Apr 25, 2015 | post #13)
