The area on the outside of the barrel, where it meets the cylinder, after firing, soak it with cleaner and then scrub it gently with only a nylon brush. Keep that area clean or it becomes difficult to get clean. Use only +P's for self defense (not for target practice) because the barrel is short, and a short barrel creates a loss of power (fps). If you buy a crimson laser sight (there are two models); one has a longer grip. Buy the longer grip because it gives more control during recoil. High recoil is this guns' drawback, especially when going from a .45acp. Aim low and left, because the bullet will strike high and right. Hold the gun tight. It's a fun challenge to shoot the gun accurately, and equally fun to learn to be accurate at longer ranges (the .38special has a long range). They experts say your attacker will be within very close range and obtaining a sight picture will not be neccessary. (IMO)  (21 hrs ago | post #774)

Feel free to post signs on our Mexican border that would inform the migrating Mexicans how much better it is in Vancouver and Toronto. All Nazis should be registered (just because I say so) because of their dangerous stupidity. If a person will ignore the prohibition on murder, they will definitely ignore the prohibition of using guns to commit murder. What would compel a murderer (who is not afraid of the punishment for murder) to obey gun laws (which carry a lesser punishment than murderYou are always ignoring facts. Most people are "potentially " violent. Most people are potential criminals too. So a person who owns guns is both a potential criminal and a potential law-abiding person. I would say you are potentially violent. So what. Should cops take me seriously ? Even if they did, they can't watch you (or everyone) all the time. If the husband is the type that would murder his wife, what makes you think he would obey gun registration laws ? If a person intends to murder schoolmates or teachers at school, they will ignore the prohibiton of guns at school. If a person will ignore the prohibition on murder, they will definitely ignore the prohibition of using guns to commit murder. What would compel a murderer (who is not afraid of the punishment for murder) to obey gun laws (which carry a lesser punishment than murder)? Husbands don't need guns to murder their wives. They can just as easily murder their wives by beating them to death; they can even pistol whip them to death without firing one shot. How many times do you need to be told: criminals ignore gun control laws, and laws don't stop bad people from committing crime. One motive behind 'states rights' was to protect slavery. Another was to avoid federal taxation. Another was to be able to have a theocracy. As you said a long time ago, the libertarian (is selfish) wants an aristocracy. Eventually, Hamilton was proven right and Jefferson was proven wrong (the war of 1812). At the very least we needed a central govt (with equal power, not more power) that could impose taxation to pay for a military to protect the coast and other interests. Jefferson's ideas weere as important as was Hamiltons'. The Whiskey Rebellion: Today, because of computers, the feds don't need sales taxation (and tariffs and duties). They can more fairly or equally impose an income tax (because of computers). All forms of taxation are subject to abuse, but the income tax is the most fair, and it's the easiest form to prevent overtaxing the poor. The sales tax interferes with competition. Property taxes are unfair also. Public education should be funded by the state income tax. It was the Whiskey Rebellion (the sales tax) that began the slow erosion of our freedom protected by the Constitution (a near perfect contract). "We got you a republic, but can you keep it?" Listen to you. There isn't any amount of political correctness in your attitude about radical muslims. That's because of what happened on 9/11. Very few people would tolerate a muslim commissioned officer running his mouth the way Hasan did. You trying to tell us there were zero pro-war Right-Wing nutjobs working with Major Hasan who could have reported him ? I don't believe it. Political correctness is just another convenient excuse to prevent people from being suspicious abut another deliberate cover-up, because a loud-mouthed muslim, antiwar, commissoned officer would be booted out of the army faster than a speeding bullet. YOU should be surprised he was even accepted into ROTC. Bush enacted Nazi-like unAmerican security measures that allow govt to spy on any of us that oppose war or make contact with our enemies. Hasan never got thru the system. They knew what he was doing because they wanted him to kill Americans (to convince Omama and other Americans to send more troops). Americans are so sheepish they will never suspect their govt (other Americans) would use them as bait. The political Right is obsessed with war and security (and war profiteering). People like you are the reason 13 people were murdered at Fort Hood (along with the antigun crowd and the murderer).  (Friday | post #685)
