Here's a place to start... There is a movement, often referred to as the “State Sovereignty Movement,” or, more properly referred to as the “Tenth Amendment Movement,” because it is not a movement to affirm the absolute freedom and independence of each state, but instead a movement to restore the balance of power between the states and the federal government within the union in accordance with the Tenth Amendment of the Constitution. Resolutions to restore the balance of power between the states and the federal government have already been introduced in at least 14 state legislatures. Most of them are almost identical to the resolution already passed in the Oklahoma House. After a series of “whereas” clauses, nearly all of them contain a key section stating: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND THE SENATE OF THE __________ LEGISLATURE: THAT the State of __________ hereby claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States. Besides the 14 states that have already introduced Tenth Amendment resolutions, many more are currently considering introducing such resolutions. The very rapid growth of this Tenth Amendment Movement is being propelled by the very widespread dismay and disgust over the multiple trillion-dollar bailouts, the nationalization of banks and other corporations, the accelerated creation of money out of thin air by the Federal Reserve, and the continued buildup of power within the federal government at the expense of the states and the people. The wording of the 10th. amendment pretty much spells out what the Founding Fathers vision was."The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." The 10th Amendment Movement is an effort to push back against unconstitutional federal laws and regulations on a state level. The principle is known as “nullification,” and was advised by many prominent founders. While the media generally portrays nullification as being solely aligned with the efforts of the nullifiers of the South and the Civil War, this is certainly false, and reeks of misinformation. Nullification has a long history in the American tradition and has been invoked in support of free speech, in opposition to war and fugitive slave laws, and more. Politicians lie and cover up the truth to make themselves more palatable to people – The mainstream media is complicit in this scam. On the other hand, there are those of us on the blogs and on the net who put out the truth and provide people a place to learn about the proper role of the federal government under the constitution. But, as an old-time motivational speaker was fond of saying; "opportunity knocks but you still have to get up off your butt and open the door." Two places for more information; http://www.tentham endmentcenter.com/ the-10th-amendment -movement/ http://solvo-civit as-iunctus.com God Bless those who love this Republic and what it stands for, and God Bless America. Victim of alleged 'Ponzi Scheme' speaks out - KDVR
Perhaps she should rent an old W.C. Fields movie... the title is "You can't cheat an honest man". Ponzi schemes and get-rich-quick-sch emes and other financial scams work only if you are looking for something-for -nothing. To quote Robert Heinlein; "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch". Karl; The end of the world HAS to be near... I agree with almost everything you wrote! There already is a war tax, (paid for in blood as well as treasure), as well as an automobile industry tax, a Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac tax, a bank tax, and, as wel all know by now... IT'S ALL GEORGE BUSH'S FAULT! Problem is, most of the American public seem to have an overwhelming need to be lied to... to have a "daddy" figure tell them it's all gonna be alright and there is no monster under the bed or in the closet. The only monster under the bed is the "gubmint " and ole Barney Frank came out of the closet years ago. The answer is vote AGAINST all incumbents, regardless of party until those elected remember that they are public SERVANTS, NOT public masters. (Tuesday Dec 1 | post #19)
Couple crashes state dinner at White House - KDVR
Here's something to make you go hmmmm... Tariq Salahi is on the board of the American Task Force on Palestine. What is the ATFP? Of course, ties to Chicago, ties to Muslim radicals, ties to Hamas, ties to Saudi Wahhabists. Why is it no surprise that all the same dubious tentacles keep appearing around our beloved president? And, reappearing as a founder of the ATFP, Rashid Khalidi, the guy purported to have helped finance Obama's Harvard education and was also instrumental in getting Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to speak at Columbia University. Rashid Khalidi - Co-founder of the ATFP is a virulent critic of Israel and a supporter of the late Fatah terrorist, Yasser Arafat. Khalidi's rhetorical assaults on the Jewish State are frequently indistinguishable from the conspiracy mongering practiced with such vitriol by the Arab press. Among the more disturbed of Khalidi's charges against Israel is his inflammatory claim that the Israeli army is in possession of "awful weapons of mass destruction (many supplied by the U.S.) that it has used in cities, villages and refugee camps. This whole thing is being spun as the folly of some reality TV show. That is nothing but a cover story. There are two possibilities here. Either Obama's people knew about Salahi's off the guest list attendance and released a cover story before the media investigated Salahi on their own and found out who he was OR Obama's security was infiltrated ad hoc, perhaps to indicate to Obama that elements of the Palestinian movement or perhaps even radical Islam itself could get to Obama any time they wanted. In either case, the Secret Service looks inept. If someone with ties to the American wing of Hamas can get face to face with the President without the Secret Service realizing it, that is a MAJOR security lapse. However, if Obama's people knowingly allowed Salahi in and are now throwing the Secret Service under the bus to cover themselves, that would be a MAJOR scandal. I tend to lean towards the first theory, that Salahi was an invited guest that was "outed" and the administration had to come up with a rational excuse for his presence. If this is the case and the Secret Service is being purposely trashed, there will be consequences. Today, Salahi's attorney is saying that Salahi was cleared by the WH to be there, however the WH is saying that is false. here is the link to that story: http://online.wsj. com/article/SB1259 ...IDDLTo... Interestingly enough, it is Obama's pal Jeff Immelt's network, NBC, that is running the cover story about the reality show. Change you can believe in??? (Sunday Nov 29 | post #14)

Josh McDaniels' profanity-laced tirade heard on national TV - KDVR
Perhaps those who were offended would like to adopt a cheer devised by the students at Northwestern University back in the days when they weren't a very good football team, (the electronic scoreboard had a graphic that said; "Please don't beat us too badly"). The cheer went: "REPEL THEM, REPEL THEM... MAKE THEM RELINQUISH THE BALL!". Good job last night Broncos... from a long-suffering Bear fan. (Friday Nov 27 | post #46)

Best Buy under fire for Muslim holiday greeting - KDVR
I must have missed something during my comparative religions classes. I was not aware that Christmas is about getting a deal on a 52" Plasma TV... or that Hanukkah is about 30%-50% off on housewares... or that Eid al Adha was about getting a cheap X-Box. Holidays, (Holy days) are RELIGIOUS celebrations NOT merchandising opportunities for retailers to sell more crap to folks who can't afford the crap they already have. Christmas is a celebration of Christ, (wouldn't have the same ring to it if we wished you a Merry Holidaymus); Eid al Adha celebrates Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son to God; Hanukkah is a celebration of the rededication of the Temple in Jersualem. None of them celebrate the joyous ringing of a cash register. Wake up people, you are being played like a cheap violin. (Thursday Nov 26 | post #274)
