I've seen this happen before. Many years ago on Normandie Avenue in Gardena. Line went down. It didn't start a fire, but it sure was flopping all over the place. The ONLY thing the fire department (who were there within minutes) could do was block the street in both directions and wait for DWP. Since there were no details, I shouldn't speak to it... but the article does say she was hit as the bus was making a turn, which leads me to believe she was in a cross walk. That alone gives HER the right of way. If the bus driver wasn't so worried about holding up traffic behind him/her, she'd be alive right now. Slow down and look at your surroundings. Your comment takes me back to high school and parents threatening their troubled teens with "If you don't shape up, I'll send you to Bishop Montgomery where the rules are more strict and the nuns will take care of your bad behavior." Those parents had no clue that the dealer their kid was getting drugs from, was a student at Bishop. Just because it's private or elite, doesn't mean it's the 'best' or trouble free.
