Why are so many cops corrupt or mean?

So that means that the soccer mon given a speeding ticket is "scum"? That kinda lumps society as a whole into being scum since at some point we alll break the law in some capacity and may be ticketed or jailed...except for cops.  (Aug 15, 2014 | post #305)

Ex-cop acquitted of beating homeless man to death wants h...

The city of Fullerton is not willing to rehire him, it has nothing to do with what anyone else thinks or the fact they were found not guilty of the charges brought against them. OJ was found not guilty so they are in good company. They still killed Kelly Thomas.  (Aug 12, 2014 | post #12)

does not mean that it does not happen......and even if caught on video no cop will be ever held accountable that was main point of the comment.  (Aug 8, 2014 | post #303)

At least where someone has died from one, still it does not mean that they do don't use these holds. It only means they haven't been caught or no one has been injured. Even if they use the hold what makes anyone think that the cop will be held accountable?  (Aug 8, 2014 | post #301)

The least that these illegals could do for PA is start some good mexican food restaurants. The ones I ate at in the Philadelphia area were bad.  (Jul 3, 2014 | post #70)

I understand what the DACA is, that was quoted from a news site as to how obama "may" try to bypass the deportation of these children.  (Jul 2, 2014 | post #24)

Just read this "Obama will likely sidestep Congress on immigration reform by expanding on his so-called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals memorandum, which essentially allows young illegal immigrants to remain in the United States if they were brought into the country illegally by their parents and have not been convicted of a major crime, Federation for American Immigration Reform spokesman Ira Mehlman predicted." This was designed for children brought into the country illegally by their parents.  (Jul 2, 2014 | post #18)

Space Cowboy stated it very well but if you had read my post I gave a couple of starting points to restructure the current immigration laws. But we must be selective on who is allowed to apply for citizenship. things do need to change, but if we are going to change do it for the better. Dumping poor people/children onto the streets of America is not the way to fix things.  (Jul 2, 2014 | post #16)

Besides the feds will from now on not announce where these illegals are being taken and will just drop them off and the local community will have to deal with the issue. Time to deal with the immigration issue, strengthen the border then streamline the immigration process so those that want to be citizens can. If the current illegals had applied for citizenship years ago then they would probably be citizens now. Unfortunately we will most likely have to deal with a medical pandemic before anything will get done. The diseases that are flowing in with these illegals are not being announced to the public....why not....wait...its another crisis waiting to be taken advantage of. I am glad all my vaccinations are current.  (Jul 2, 2014 | post #11)

The lawless mobs are Americans who have the right to voice their opinion and to protest the same as you or I. I guarantee that is these illegal aliens were dropped off into your community you would be singing a different tune. Too bad that theses illegals can not be dropped off in the neighborhoods of the politicians who refuse to resolve the immigration issue.  (Jul 2, 2014 | post #10)

There buses were rerouted to San Ysidrio near San Diego. There is a border patrol processing center there. They will more than likely be San Diego's problem now since it clear that the feds are not going to take care of the problem. Once the children are released the next step will be the bleeding hearts screaming that these children should not be away from their parents and a way will be found by our politicians to relocate their parents here. Once that is done they will need more money to support them so get ready for the feds dipping into your pocket book.  (Jul 2, 2014 | post #5)

Unfortunately protesting will only give the cops a valid reason to hurt more citizens. They need to be held accountable for their actions, the vast majority of the public still believe that they are being protected by these thugs. You read everywhere where babies/children are terrorized and hurt/burned during no knock raids that seldom produce enough contraband to validate even the expense of the raid. Pets that are killed because the officer "feared for his life". Their safety is a lot more important than yours or mine.  (Jun 30, 2014 | post #299)

It is easy to break the rules when you are the one enforcing them and not held accountable for your actions. Most people go though life not caring about much until it affects them personally and at that point the problem, in this case police abuse/corruption, is usually at a critical point. Take for instance the latest casualty in the war on drugs, a baby burned in its crib by a distraction device. The tactical team working off an informants information raided the house and burned the baby. No drugs were found at the house as they had been moved. They were able to located the subject later and arrest him......hmmm...wh y not do that in the first place and not put innocent people in harms way.  (Jun 17, 2014 | post #295)
