U.S. to step up deportation of jailed immigrants

I think this has more to do with an inefficient system of dealing with criminals rather than the immigration issue outright. Are the people being deported finishing up their sentences? Are they just being turned out with no follow-up? I can see this is just another symptom of a government with weak, unclear "pass the buck" policies.  (Jan 15, 2008 | post #3)

Should "Under God" Be Removed From The Pledge?

Actually, it's a democratic republic. The Framers were divided because not all wanted a pure democracy. They aren't exclusive terms at all.  (Jan 15, 2008 | post #27)

Beetle kill rate "catastrophic"

I think this is really sad. It's been a problem for years and has been largely ignored it seems. How tragic that it got to this point.  (Jan 14, 2008 | post #1)

Mike Nelson in Town at Grandview

My son got to hold the "Kid Cam" for Mike a few years ago. He's such a treat for the kids! They learn a lot and see that adults in the community care. Thanks Mike!  (Jan 14, 2008 | post #1)
