I was thinking about this last night. Why do I have to post through my Facebook account? Then it occurred to me, it's probably a marketing tool for Topix. Now your family and friends can see your posts and maybe they'll post as well thus increasing exposure. Unfortunately the reverse has happened. I don't post at all now. So not only did it not increase exposure it actually decreased it by 1.  (Jun 3, 2011 | post #4)

Judge voids Wisconsin collective bargaining law

OMG!!! YOU'RE JUST AS STUPID AS MR. NICE. I sure as H E L L know what a DD214 is. I want to know if you and MR. NICE know what they are and I also want to know when you get one. In addition I want an answer to all the other questions I raised. You see D U M B A S S I know what that stuff is do you? Seeing that this hole thing is going over you're collective heads I'll spell it out for you: A DD214 is the form a member gets when they are discharged from the military. A military member receives a DD214 when they are discharged from active duty after fullfilling their enlistment contract. THEY ALSO RECEIVE ONE WHEN: They re-enlisted in the military prior to their original contract expiring. A reserve member receives one when they are discharged from the active military after a deployment. And all member receive one when they retire from the military. Bet you didn't know that did you? Now next time, before you make another stupid comment, read the question!  (May 28, 2011 | post #91)

Kind of like how President Obama overreached on Palestine when he purposed that Israel go back to 1967 borders. Way under estimated the support this country has for Israel  (May 26, 2011 | post #67)

Before I do that can you tell me what a DD214 is and when a member gets one? Maybe you know what a NAM is? How about a Pg 4? Maybe you know what a Pg. 13 is used for? How about telling me what NOWS stands for? Maybe you can tell me what qualification EXW is? What do you have to do to get an FMF? Or what is the minimum requirement for a patrol pin? Or maybe you can tell me the process for becoming SS qualified? Of all those things I listed above tell me which ones are awards and which ones are pins? Don't know do you? I guess your the defective person!!!  (May 26, 2011 | post #66)

The frustration with people like Pete is I've used this same argument with my friends who are part of the public unions and they understand why I can't support their tactics. People like Pete try to spout this legal crap about contracts, no rights to unionize, etc. and then miss the point of what they are really doing  (May 26, 2011 | post #65)

WAY TO TOTALLY MISS THE POINT OF MY ARGUMENT. YOU MUST BE PROUD. The point of my arguement is simple so I'll spell it out. When you volunteer or are hired for a position with the STATE OR FEDERAL government you are volunteering to undertake a task for the greater good of the nation. Whether you're a teacher, janitor, road worker, etc. you agree to undertake the greater good. So tell me, the public unions in Wisconsin are under contract but that didn't stop them from shutting down schools. Apparently the military values their agreement with the government then public union employees. Oh and by the way I have 22 years naval experience and I've been part of that "wild goose chase in Iraq" unless you've been there, which by your comments you haven't, you wouldn't call it a wild goose chase. The public unionized workers in Wisconsin placed their personal needs over those of the state and I wanted to know how you'd feel if the U.S. Military did the same and left you to fend for yourself in case of an attack on America. Apparently you  (May 26, 2011 | post #49)

What if the U.S. Military had the same attitude as a public union employee? Think about that for a second. A member of the armed forces is a public employee burdened with doing the greater good. Now what if this military force put their personal needs above the needs of the nation. Imagine the United States being attacked and the military sends out a message stating that it would only protect the family of military member. I know this is far fetched, the military has way too much integrity to do this. But the concept is the same. In February the public unions in Wisconsin put their personal needs (Collective Bargaining rigts) over the needs of the United States (teachers teaching)  (May 26, 2011 | post #28)

Voting for a tax increase

William, Not all taxes are created equal! Just because I voted for Horner doesn't mean I support a tax increase on the rich. I do agree that taxes do need to be raised but I don't agree that the rich should have to shoulder the load. MN is our state, we are in a financial mess because of the people we voted into office, thus we need to get ourselves out of it, not the rich. If Governor Dayton said he was going to raise the sales tax then I'd be with him on it. Everyone pays, everyone contributes in getting us out of this mess. But both you and I know he won't do that because we need to coddle the poor. I'm sorry but we shouldn't be coddling the poor. Being poor should S U C K so you do something about it.  (May 25, 2011 | post #2)
