MTA faces budget gap of $3 billion

Thats ok, one time i was on a 6 train and they were doing "line work" at pelham bay park. the line work consisted of one guy doing something to a track, and three people standing around him watching tomake sure that the work was being done. tell me that isn't needless spending there 4 people being paid one working and the other three standing with their hands.  (Thursday May 1 | post #7)

LIRR installing plates on trains to shrink gaps

yeah they have to move the loop steps, so that maintenance crews can access the trains when they are being serviced, easy and less expensive solution then the high cost of moving the loop steps, and that is to install a hinge on the plate so the maintenance crews can flip it up and they can still access the train. and i do know about bombardier, they are the ones who make the newer subway trains, they are a good company, and i know that they have good workmanship, but the cost that they are saying for each door is over priced for the work involved  (Thursday Apr 24 | post #18)
