Judge rules TiZA school must face ACLU's suit

Silly me for thinking that the ACLU was there to protect Americans civil liberties. But from your post I must assume that the ACLU is really only meant to protect liberals civil liberties. Maybe they should change their name then..... or is it just you projecting your own feelings that it should only be a liberal institution.  (Apr 21, 2011 | post #31)

In early-morning vote, House backs deep health, welfare cuts

Apparently you werent smart enough to realize that the article that was posted on Fox's site wasnt their info. But what is that little bit of trivial information when you can rant against Fox News  (Apr 14, 2011 | post #113)

Party leader calls for Wisconsin clerk to resign

I could see the demand for her resignation if there were a problem with the actual vote counts. But the problem which she had didnt affect the official vote total. This isnt a case where votes were found after the fact, this is a case where a cities votes werent submitted. This is something very easy to tell if this was really the case or not. Since the Democrat in charge of that county said that there wasnt a problem with the vote count then I would have to believe there wasnt a big problem here. Just a nice little opportunity for the Dems to try to confuse people.  (Apr 13, 2011 | post #58)

As was said before. The problem with Dayton isnt that he wants to cut more then the Republicans want. He wants more money in spending. Since you cant use unallotment to add to a budget there is no way for Gov Dayton to do as you stated. Next time put a little more effort into your thought process.  (Apr 11, 2011 | post #47)

Obama: Law against gay marriage is illegal

Actually when the president took the oath to serve this great country he agreed to follow the laws on the books. He cant pick and choose which laws he wants to enforce. It is up to the Legislature to draft legislation that would change the law or it is up to the courts to decide the constitutionality of the law. Something that seems to have been ignored by the messiah and you.  (Feb 24, 2011 | post #33)

Actually the U of M is part of MnSCU. MnSCU stands for Minnesota State Colleges & Universities of which the U of M is a part of.  (Feb 16, 2011 | post #34)

Next time they support the Union's at the U of M and other universities for their right to a "fair wage" remember it comes along with increased costs for their education :)  (Feb 16, 2011 | post #5)

Bleach, beer thrown during St. Paul gas-station assault; ...

If you took even a moment to read the first part of my post I specifically said was it being used to throw in the face of someone to blind them. Obviously you didnt take even a second to read past the first line of my post. Secondly as I said in my post, I am HIGHLY allergic to Chlorine. As Chlorine is the main active item in bleach it would then be obvious that I would die if I was " high on bleach". But nice try though. My main point in my post was more to wonder why there werent assult charges brought against the kid with the bleach. Anyone with even a lick of common sense would have known by reading my post that when I asked "why would they have a water bottle filled with bleach" it was rhetorical question.... :P I know firsthand how badly bleach can affect someone as even the slightest hint of it in the air will bother me. Now make that a water bottle filled with bleach and I am in an instant asthma attack that has the potential to make breathing near impossible for me, which could in an extreme attack kill me.  (Jan 4, 2011 | post #31)

Bleach, beer thrown during St. Paul gas-station assault; ...

I am wondering why 1 of them had a " water bottle filled with bleach. " Were they going to throw it in the face and try to blind the clerk? Surely you dont walk around with a water bottle filled with bleach unless you plan on using it against someone. To make matters worse for the clerk in a situation like this would be could they have been allergic to Chlorine? I managed an Oasis Market for over 2 years and am HIGHLY allergice to chlorine and just the smell of it will send me into a pretty severe asthma attack. Had this situation happened to me or someone similar to myself the situation would have turned far worse. Find out why this girl had the bottle and then treat it like a weapon if she didnt have a valid reason to have it on her person and then throw it at the clerk. Just because its only bleach doesnt mean it cant do as much harm as any other weapon in the wrong situation.  (Jan 3, 2011 | post #23)

Jimmy John's union nixed

I saw this site, but it is the ONLY site listed in a search engine that had these figures. If there was more then this I would say it is probable. But I just dont think that this site is all that reputable, since it doesnt list where they get the figures from and anytime you try to navigate that site its not all that helpfull. But I stand by what I said before, the majority of managers dont even make near the amount you said. So to take an extreme case and try to apply it widely in a field such as that is stretching the truth to the extreme.  (Oct 29, 2010 | post #189)

Jimmy John's union nixed

My reading and english comprehension skills are good enough to smell through your BS. no Gas station manager makes 100k a year, a GM maybe a regional manager maybe, but not a normal manager. The same goes for BK, the highest I saw on any site I found was 55k. Show me a link where it shows their salary at 100k, any site that is reputable. You are a liar and full of it. You can make up as much as you want but anyone with even the slightest bit of common sense can tell you made up some info to try to make the people who own Jimmy John's look bad to all the other lemmings out there who do no research on their own or have never worked in these fields. My mother worked as a manager for 7-11 and I know what she made since it was her only job and we were still getting free lunches at school and had problems getting anything good from her due to limited funds. I managed a gas station myself and I also knew what other managers made for that company. I also knew a manager for Super America and knew what she made as well. At no point in time did ANY person that I knew who worked in these fields made over 40k a year. The 1 person I knew that made 40k a year had been there for near 20 years as a manager. I would venture a guess that you never got even close to being a manager yourself and you probably had a manager of yours tell you some extreme BS about what they made and you sucked it up hook line and sinker. Put any 1 credible link that shows a REGULAR store manager making this much even just 1 manager, how is that? Just 1 manager from either company, JUST 1 MANAGER. I wont hold my breathe while you try as I would long be dead before you even sniffed a posting of that amount of money being made by a manager.  (Oct 28, 2010 | post #185)

Woman's head stepped on by Rand Paul supporters

I am all for free education, a strong and educated mass of people will do nothing but good for a country. But I would also venture a guess that people working at the Universities in India dont make a fraction of what we make here at Universities in the US. I know from expierence, I handle student F/A at a major University here in Minnesota and after 10 years of working here and 4 promotions later I am still a glorified paper pusher making $20+ an hour. Most of the promotions came due to me finding a new job and my current employer doing what they could to keep me. The $20+ an hour I make is on top of 85% of my tuition covered up to 10 credits per year as a non-degree seeking student. Not to mention what most would consider a VERY good medical plan. So next time you worry about the cost of education in this country remember for every unit/building/program at Universities there are career people there making so much money it drives the costs through the roof.  (Oct 28, 2010 | post #1656)

Woman's head stepped on by Rand Paul supporters

While what this man did was horribly wrong. He didnt stomp on her head. I have seen someone get their head stomped before and this sure as hell wasnt it. He never lifted his foot more then a little over a foot, not real easy to deliver a stomp from that height. Not to mention he put his foot on her shoulder and as she rolled from her side to her stomache his foot moved from her shoulder towards her head. But at no time did he go directly for her head. That being said what he did was WRONG no questions asked. Lets not exagerate so badly, when did the truth become such a hard thing for some people to say.  (Oct 28, 2010 | post #1650)
