When do school supply lists come out.

This year my only child is going into school. I am trying to get some general information about when the supply lists come out and such.  (Jul 10, 2010 | post #1)

Electric Bill Payment Assistance Everyone Qualifies for S...

If it is a grant as has been stated before then the money is already there is one large lump sum. The taxes have already been paid on it. Our heating costs for the last 2 months have been 400+ dollars, it has reduced our standard of living to the point of having to choose putting food on the table versus paying what little we can on the electric bill, food has won out on both occasions. This would help us greatly.  (Jan 22, 2010 | post #9)

Pre K at Woodbine Elementary

Agreed, I love that there are programs like these that are still being allowed to exist!  (Jan 21, 2010 | post #8)

Pre K at Woodbine Elementary

My daughter went to King of Peace and loved it until the rates got so high that there was no way to keep her there, she still calls it her school whenever we pass by. I called Noahs Ark and got the information it seems like a good program.  (Jan 20, 2010 | post #5)

Pre K at Woodbine Elementary

I just called to find out the information about enrolling my child in the Camden county pre k program for next school year. I found out it is a lottery system and there is only one class at Woodbine Elementary. Are there any other parents out there that have gone through this process? How many of your children have actually gotten in? I feel that it is a very important program, but why do they make it so difficult to enroll a child?  (Jan 20, 2010 | post #1)

Since Marla moved, I went to Gaynell at Shear Delights, she does wonders with curly hair!  (Dec 8, 2009 | post #57)

Shopping Locally.

While I appreciate the advertising plug on my post about shopping, I am not sure I would consider going to a coffee shop shopping. There are really no major purchases you can make there and unless I am in the area I do not go out of my way to get coffee.  (Dec 7, 2009 | post #6)

Shopping Locally.

Today I was looking through the recent opinion articles on the Tribune's website, and one caught my eye dealing with shopping locally in Camden. I personally would be all for it if Camden had anything to offer, but as it stands now for "major" shopping or holiday buying we are not left with many options unless of course you want to buy everything at Walmart, Kmart, Belk, or Bealls. I do not for the life of me understand why everyone is putting on such a fuss over KIC when there is nothing here. Opinions, thoughts, I would enjoy hearing others views.  (Dec 5, 2009 | post #1)

Black Friday At Wal-Mart

I was there at 3:30 not waiting on a "big ticket" item but I was there for other sale items. I did like that they allowed people to put grab and go items in their buggys before 5:00 am. The ticket system seemed to work well. The lines thinned out pretty quickly after 5:00 am, but I do wish they would have had all items on the floor before 5:00, at 5:30 I was still waiting on apparel items to come onto the floor.  (Dec 1, 2009 | post #3)

Health Care - Woodbine, GA

I do not want nationalized health care, it doesn't work. I have spoken to people from other countries with nationalized health care and they have confirmed that fact. I want to pay to have good health care, I just want to pay a reasonable price not the ridiculous amount that private health care sits at now.  (Nov 21, 2009 | post #3)

Navy pushes to allow women on submarines; wives worry abo...

I agree with not having women on Subs what I don't agree with is your derogatory way of speaking towards women. I am not a man's slave nor am I his house woman, but I am a partner, a wife, and a mother.  (Oct 15, 2009 | post #6)

Navy reconsiders ban against women on subs

I personally believe that the Sub force is the one boys club that doesn't need to be messed with. Women are in every other part of the military. There would be too many problems associated with women on Subs. This is coming from a woman.  (Oct 15, 2009 | post #6)
