How can someone contest the contents of a Patent?

If a person has a patent, can someone contest the contents of the patent? Say, the patent is for a object, and the inventor has made statements to get it that are not true or overstated, such as: 1. Patenting a natural enviromental occurence in nature, as part of the patent? 2. Applying and using studies by other researchers in such a way that the item being patented can not be able to do the supposed studies by itself? Thanks: Thunder Bear  (Dec 4, 2009 | post #1)
