What should West Virginia do about Marijuana?
Very nicely said, what if. I am one that has used pot for 28 years. At first it was for the high but for the last several years I use marijuana for pain relief. I can attest to the fact that it does help with the pain. I feel if they woul,d legalize it then the US would have the tax money to put towards the deficit. But no the idiots in Washington would rather keep our prisons loaded with pot dealers. Instead of focusing on the pot dealers they should be getting our child molesters, murderers, and rapists, just to name a few. Just my opinion. (Sep 3, 2008 | post #41)

I am one that smokes Pot or medicinal reasons. I have a spinal disease where my spinal cord is deteriorating, which is very painful. I also suffer from Fibromyalgia, where my muscles also deteriorate. Needless to say the pain is horrendous. I tried all the drugs that are legal & all that I managed to do was become addicted to methadone & morphine. Within 6 months of starting their treatments, I realized what was going on & refused to continue that type of treatment. I am not a drug addict. I am a 43 yr old woman in pain. I smoke pot because it helps. I also would rather be in a car with someone who has smoked versus drinking. How many people do you know of that has killed someone "smoking & driving"? I have smoked pot for many years & prefer that over pills anyday. (Jul 18, 2008 | post #27)

I never said that strippers are bad people. I also was a single mother that raised three children with no help or child support. I did work 3 jobs at one time & did what I had to do to raise my children. I know how single mothers feel. The case was thrown out of courts & the prosecuter was disbarred & a civil suit was filed by the state to recover the money spent on the case & he is also looking at possible jail time. No we aren't all brothers & sisters except in the eyes of the Lord. I was raised that if you have nothing good to say then say nothing at all. Not all people from WV have relations with their family members. I wont lie, there are ome, but the majority of WVians do not. Jennings/Penningto n's skating rink closed over 20 years ago. I personally know that when Mr. Jennings owned it, there was no better place for teens & children to go. Princeton needs more recreation for the children. (Jun 18, 2008 | post #4)

Hey ECM.. I know the feeling. was 8 mos pregnant when I had my 1st. Had my 21st bday in the hospital, had my 2n daughter the day before & had a 3rd when I was 23. Look at it this way, you might not get to do the young adult things like I didn't but at the same time, I am 42 & have 3 grandchildren. I have no children at home I get to live my life the way I prefer not saddled with teenagers at 40. I am young enough to play & njoy my grandchildren. Think about it that way instead of thinking the negative. Think positive & all will work out better than you think. At least now I know what I should do & what I shouldn't do rather than being a young adult when I amout running around. I have better prospective of life & having the chance of enjoying it. hope what I am saying mkes since to you. I can say on a personal note, that I know of a situation years ago in princeton. A person called the princeton police dept & told them where the drigs were, where the money was hid & named all the names that was involved in the operation. To top it off it was happening 2 blocks from the courthouse & nothing was done to care for the matter. Yes the cops are crooked. More than people would believe. I could tell you stories that would knock you off your feet about these law enforcements, but nothing is ever done about them. And to answer what pot cures. mostly pain managment.
