THE NEWSPAPER AND TOPIX

It's funny how people will just forward anything from "God loves you, but you will go to hell if you don't forward" to "If you don't forward, you'll get bad luck til you die!" Eh, the crazy American teen culture is CRAZY! I wanna be a teenager again.  (Mar 21, 2009 | post #17)

Get some supports and make those little Catholics change the rules. You don't need much to change it, I'm sure you don't need God's advisory to ask for a healthy change. Just take it to the city.  (Mar 21, 2009 | post #9)

Cigarette prices up

That's a good one, alcohol. Kills more people that cigarettes, at least I wanna believe that. It still kills. I think they should just match anything that kills, from trans fats to beer. Tax the hell out of them... FYI, the tax was made from Obama's administration. The money from the taxes is, at least supposed to be used, for medical reasons and supporting hospitals and medical insurance.  (Mar 17, 2009 | post #5)

Well it has come to this, Obama passed a tax bill that will increase cigarette taxes by another $0.41 So what do you guys think?  (Mar 16, 2009 | post #1)

SUPER WALMART

They are remolding because the high payed people that work in Wal-Mart came up with a "better" logo. They HAD to remodel or else our Wal-Mart would be an outdated, old looking one. And some of your facts are somewhat right. In Dimmit County there are roughly 15,000 people. On top of that, the Carrizo side of Zavala County, you're looking at about another 10,000 people. Not to mention the hundreds maybe thousands of people that pass through Carrizo.... You are right that Wal-Mart might be gambling their money on us but somewhere inside your mind you've got to admit that this current Wal-Mart is a bit small now. Too much merchandise and more customers. Maybe we do need a Super Wally World :)  (Mar 11, 2009 | post #44)

Myspace or Facebook

If you want people to know what your doing, who you're adding, who you're messaging, who you're mingling with, who you're commenting, or who, what, why, when, where, or any other "know" then Facebook is for you :) If you just wanna keep tabs with family and friends and have a super personalized profile, MySpace. I prefer MySpace. I tried Facebook but canceled it after a week.  (Feb 28, 2009 | post #3)

Carrizo City Election

Honestly, the only way it will come down is if someone burns it down. No paid taxes, city owns. Costs too much to knock down while it's still suffering, burn it down, it's easier to knock down. 1+1 always equals 2. Although I don't recommend anyone burning it down, it is an issue... Hopefully a strong storm will knock it down.  (Feb 28, 2009 | post #23)

Carrizo City Election

Yeah I know but the state also funds for road repairs. Or at least helps fund when requested. If Carrizo Springs wants to grow, start with the roads. How do nearly all of us get to work? Driving. We can't work if our suspension's all jacked up. And if we don't work, we'd be worse off than how we are now. But you gotta admit, covering potholes IS expensive in the long run even though it's cheap to do right now.  (Feb 28, 2009 | post #21)
