Vought Workers To Vote On Contract

What's up!?!?! OMG!!! You guys are STILL HERE!?!? Hey Everyone! So, it seems that you all still have not learned how to Play Nice. Of course... the big bucks are in Charleston and Tulsa right now. Maybe if you all are so unhappy, this time REALLY show Vought how strong you are and just go work that contract four months. You just might make enough to meet half of what you lost by being in a Union! Dogg! Love ya Man! I will be in Nashville next month for a few days! Meeting up with Bowling Green for a weekend there. I'm buying this time! How's Momma Nita? She still alive and kicking? Did her drug using pony boy finally leave with his wife? OMG!! They sure could phuck up stuff fast! Oh well... I actually have to say I really miss it there. I loved building that beavertail!  (Mar 27, 2009 | post #3604)

So tell me... is anything getting done in there now? Gulfstream announced last week in Savannah the layoffs are coming. They have a few brand new aircraft sitting on their ramp that customers bailed on because deadlines were failed to be met. The economy has gone to shit cause Nobama has no balls like he claimed he had. Biden will make a much better President in 2010! What's the News? I bought an Atlas Copco ergo 90-degree drill in a Pawn Shop last week for the huge sum of $14.00!! It had VOUGHT engraved in it. Funny how it had been here in the pawn shop shortly after the strike began. That would not be pointing the fingers at contractors but a few of the Union Members who came to Savannah to work. DAWG!!! How is Mother Goose and "Her Boy"...? Is he still dealing on the shop floor and bouncing off the jacked up parts he kept phucking up? I wonder how many other cover-ups made it past inspection? Has anyone had to do a drug-test or is the company still blind like a rivet? I am doing very well... taking delivery of my new Motorcycle this next week. Just made the last payment on the BMW and the final payment on the daughter's flight school for next year. The really phucked up thing is that I actually miss building the beavertails. It meant something to take pride in my work to be a part of a dinosaur of an aircraft like the G450. Maybe that is why the business world is turning towards the BBJ, Global and Falcons these days. How many have been hit by the layoffs? The job sites are starting to offer Replacements Jobs back there in Nashville so I guess the fallout has come to hit Union members as well. Oh well... just thought I would come in and say hello. I saw all the crap about contractors stealing tools and yes they did. I saw a lot of it. Its a damn shame I have a conscious and kept all the same tools in my blue box from the first week I aquired them there. I even lost my own personal drill by bringing it in. I hope someone enjoys it. I never participated in the Candy machine Raids when certain wannabe leads discovered certain manager's passcodes then used it to pad their lunchboxes. I guess its a rare trait indeed. I just figured that after earning over $40K in four months... if I needed it, I could afford it. Maybe Vought needs to buy their stuff back so you can get a job done. One way or another... hope you all figure it out.  (Feb 14, 2009 | post #3560)

Wow!! You guys are still bickering here? I was surprised to hear that Worrell went back to work instead of taking the retirement. Good luck everyone!  (Jan 24, 2009 | post #3451)

Professionalism has nothing to do with traveling. It has to do with PRIDE!! Something I see very little out of many workers in the plant. They play the odds in pushing people who need that ONE EXTRA STEP of help to not take a countersink all the way through a part cause they are too stupid to check the cage. I have told many and I will say it to you as well... I am not here for the money. I couldn't care less if I was making $25/HR OR $45/HR. I own two other businesses that cover my bills. I intially came here because Nashville is 120 miles from Deal's Gap and all the great roads to ride the bike on. I never imagined I would be here 4 months. Add to why I am still here is because there is a need to finish what I started and I enjoy the team I work for. I take pride in what I do and insist others should try it sometime. I owe Unions NOTHING! The job I left was founded 30 years ago. They paid very competitive wages, had great benefits and amazing amenities, never ONCE being a Union shop. Wake UP!! Unions are a thing of a the past and nothing more than a CULT that should be shunned by every GOD Fearing Christian! Unions create Idol Worship as You are Taught to worship the MONEY and BENEFITS the Union provides. You call it a "Brotherhood " and you are required to tithe, yet they just call that "DUES". If you are against the Cult Union you are forever in SCAB Damnation!! You are lower than life and going to HeII! Grow up and see that times have changed. Maybe back in the 40's they were necessary but the world has come to a legal nightmare which makes labor laws, tort attorneys and HR departments KING in the company. Thank You Nashville... Goodnight!  (Jan 19, 2009 | post #3428)

Yes, indeed it was my post but from another computer for which I was not logged into. I have spoken to several other employees, both those who have been to Dallas to have returned and those who stayed behind. In both instances, it is believe those who stayed feel the seniority issue is key, followed by a subversive feeling they were being left behind in thought that a future change was coming. In my view... it doesn't matter where you build the parts you build, so long as it is done with professionalism. Seniority I can understand from a Union Worker or Salaried worker point of view means that someone has the fear of being controlled by another. In my experience, if you do not want to be comtrolled by another, start your own business and learn what being controlled is truly like. In light of such, I think communication, true communication was completely lost amongst many over the past years, thus creating judgement and issues all are dealing with now. This blog has run a full course since its inception the day of the strike. I have seen many change their views and become more educated in their decisions. Thus for me... it has served a great purpose. Unfortunate for many workers, the deal they took in some aspects was far less appealing than the one they initially voted down. Many of us have made lots of money because of this but for me I have made many new friends, for which no price can be paid. I created my blog not as a showcase for fingerpointing. No doubt many will see it as such. No doubt I believe the company will watch it and I honestly hope they do. I hope people become aware that others are watching them... and their actions are modified accordingly. We can all work together... but we need to be WORKING FIRST! I created it in the thoughts that people who are posting here and new people who will find it, will discover a place they can vent their frustrations and be heard. Many times people just do not know the pathway to getting something accomplished in the proper means. Hopefully people will respond to all to share what is needed to solve such issues.  (Jan 18, 2009 | post #3413)

You post all the info about the 401K but you forget all those words are GREEK to many who read it and don't speak "legalese "! Its the same reason you all went out on strike. Had someone been able to explain it so the worker could understand it... life would have been much easier. So, for something you can understand... Here's a much better Video on YouTube! http://www.youtube .com/watch?v=yFUGi 0HlNZo  (Jan 16, 2009 | post #3332)

I agree with what you said 25... Just didnt think it was necessary to copy what you wrote. I Pray that all vote down the contract as a sign of what is right. Hand in your papers and cross the line. Doing such will send the message that you are here for yourselves, family and to do your job... not a message to show support for those individuals who have concocted a way to fatten their bank accounts at your expense. Do the right thing and send a loud message to the Union. They abandoned you all over the last 4 months!!! ARE YOU SERIOUSLY GOING TO REWARD THEM?  (Jan 15, 2009 | post #3231)

You certainly are very misinformed... ! Vet has been on this blog since the beginning and has been a huge opposition to crossing the line to be a REBEL amongst Men. I posted my email address on this blog and was flooded with almost 100 emails supporting Dogg and his right to cross. These were all emails from others who were watching the blog to see what the Dogg was going to do. Had he crossed, i can certainly say the majority i received emails from were coming with him. The committeeman called him in desperation and begged him not to cross but to wait til after Tuesday's meeting. In that I see more weakness than a man who calls out the bullchit that happens here only so the supers can buddy up with thier friends causing the drama. You dont think i know about the kitty litter incident? Times are a changin' and the drama train has left the station.  (Jan 14, 2009 | post #3204)

I know you will help regulate, but those who still think they will be able to come back and act an arse to the Scabs. Sorry but you already heard what happened to the 2 Scabs that started talkin chit earlier this month. Gone Pecan..!! I know there will be some serious trippin out! For all those who believed nothing was going on or things were a mess, WOW is all I can say for the look on your faces will be PRICELESS! Hey... all gramatical errors aside... we welcome everyone back. So please go to the pawnshops you took the tools, buy them back and let's all get some great work done with pride!  (Jan 14, 2009 | post #3197)

You think they will grab a bunch of seniority burnouts who forgot how to drill a straight hole or will they pick the best and train them? You've obviously not worked any highend military aircraft projects.  (Jan 14, 2009 | post #3186)
