Relocating

MJ is a great place. I've lived there for 8 years and really, I don't believe there is a dangerous area in MJ. It's a great place to live and only about 20 minutes to the airport. I haven't lived in Williamson county but I can't imagine it being a better place to live.  (Aug 31, 2014 | post #2)

Crittenden Co ambulance

Well, it seems like the citizens need to push the county to pass a tax for the ambulance service and not 20 different things and the ambulance service gets a piece of it. The hospital foots the bill while the county has done hardly anything to support it for years. Look at Livingston and Lyon counties. 2 crews due to a tax that is only for the ambulance service with an ambulance board to oversee everything (not a hospital and not the county government overseeing and making decisions). Until then it will be this way because the resources that are needed aren't there. It's bad when your family needs transported elsewhere but that's the way it is.  (Aug 20, 2012 | post #6)

Crittenden Co ambulance

It is because they don't have adequate staff. There is 1 crew on duty except Monday-Friday from roughly 9-4 when there is a 2nd crew at the office. Any other time they rely on calling everyone not working to try to get a 2nd crew in. If that doesn't work then they can't leave the county with no available coverage. When I worked at the hospital a few years ago, they had many employees that lived in the county but now half or more live in other counties and they don't want to come in on their day off to work (like most people).  (Aug 19, 2012 | post #2)
