Thanks Lisa!!!! I know what you mean about the other threads - besides the lurkers and troublemakers - some of them are real downers. I know what you mean when you say it's hard to keep up with them on a daily basis (especially this time of year with all the Holiday action and just keeping up with life in general). I know this is off topic and JMO, but I'm looking forward to the NASCAR season ending. The face (and faces) of N have changed but that's a topic for another thread. Hang in there!!!! Thoughts and prayers go ut to all of you! Sorry I haven't been on in awhile (except to bitch on some of the other threads!). Phoenix - Sue and Cho Cho did their job here. They are probably with you now. Puppy (Lou Lou) had a bad spell a couple of weeks ago and ended up with a trip to the vet and then a "sleep over" to monitor her on valium. Finally got her meds on track and she is just precious now. Lou Lou's birthday is Nov. 2nd - no shout outs necessary! I'm making strawberry/bannana cupcakes for all of her friends' parents' here. Hope the vet can do something about TJ's eye. How old is TJ? Cho Cho had the tumor in his right eye but was just to old and frail to survive it all. The Cho is strong now with Sue! Just don't want that to be the case for TJ! Know it is off topic - but, the NASCAR world has really changed. I barely watch anymore (myself) but do keep the races, etc. on in the background and pay attention when there is a crash or something else. Or a DUI (that was bad) or a fight or a fine or a guy in a stupid costume for this weekend (there were lots of those!). Anyway, my prayers are with all of you. Thanks Katie! I know that Sue and the Cho have been doing fly bys for Lou Lou. The vet called today to check on her. She is doing well and will be a lot happier when we head south (warmer weather). She is a true gem and just precious! Roomie got a booster this summer (after stitches in hand). My last one was 3 yrs. ago. Think we are safe? Again, thanks for all your info! Can't thank you enuf for your updates on the flu. I'll be heading your way in a couple of months and I have followed your advice. I have the "gel" as well as "wipes" in all our vehicles and at all the entrances to our home. With my puppy (Lou Lou) being sick (half the time) I keep a can of wipes every where to pick it up, clean it up, etc. And then, wash, wash, wash. Two years ago roomie and I got colds so bad that we got the night sweats. Peeps he was working with had wives who were school teachers and kids in school. Think we got it from them but I would never accuse. Any other advice you can send our way would be greatly appreciated! We can read in the papers everyday and listen to it on the news, but, it helps to have someone who is dealing with it on a daily basis to help us through it. You are a true gem! Sorry I started such a hornets' nest by posting on this forum. My only point was that I thought it was weird that E didn't mention A in his family weekend (especially since she was there). I meant no harm. Hermie is a non-entity since he is a reporter (and paid to be there every weekend) and had all ready interviewed E with the PSA concerning breast cancer awareness. That was very thoughtful of you to send an e-mail of these posts to the Sadlers'. Keep it up! Maybe through your kindness Elliott will realize what a complete jerk he was not to have mentioned his pregnant wife during the pre-race interview Sat. night when he was going on about "....what a great family weekend with my Mom and Dad....". At best, he could apologize to his wife. Or, he could think before he speaks and perhaps figure out who his family is. In any event - you did a good thing. I don't think you're being negative. It would be tough to explain away a baby or a divorce or a mistress or what ever. Most of the guys just don't talk about it. I'm just saying that I thought it was weird he didn't mention her. If I was sitting at home with the flu, morning sickness, etc. I would be offended or even at the track (right there) and not mentioned????? Maybe E was trying to send a message (to his fans, etc.)?
