The Innkeeper Profile
As an American, I know it pisses me off when Europeans remind me that it is legal to smoke marijuana in Amsterdam! (Jul 8, 2012 | post #24)
Weekends in the summer, near resort beaches, are just complete chaos. I rarely get time to post in the warm months. About the time the folks stop vacationing, and head back to the salt mines, I will finally find some free time for myself. Until then, I will just drop by, now and again. I hope things are going well for you, sir. (Jul 8, 2012 | post #88)
well, you must have a nice, orderly ghetto. Folks WILL jump others for the fun, or sport of it all. A sad fact of life. As to whether Trayvon did so, remains to be seen. I will try not to judge prematurely. I will wait for the trial, if it happens. (Jul 8, 2012 | post #232)
This sentence right here shows that you have not the faintest clue what you are talking about. Please tell us the last time that you entered the ghetto. I'm betting either decades ago, or never at all. (Jul 6, 2012 | post #229)
Serbian dissidents, from what I have heard. Killed Austrian Arch Duke Ferdinand, sparking the conflict. (Jul 6, 2012 | post #83)
Picard seemed a more well-rounded individual. (Apr 8, 2012 | post #2)
Really? How about remember? Three missed words in one short post. Trifecta! (Apr 8, 2012 | post #10)
wow. irrelevent and atheist. I should slow down when I am multi-tasking. (Apr 8, 2012 | post #9)
Well, it would seem to be irrelavent to the athiests, not believing, they could ignore those, if they wished. I mean, we have already let the "remeber the Sabbath thing fall by the wayside, (Saturday or Sunday?. Most of the others are backed up by municipal law. One, at least has to be self-imposed (coveting neighbors property, ass, etc.). (Apr 8, 2012 | post #8)
Not a great mystery here. Plane attempted to take off, made it about 2 and a half miles downrange, and fell out of the sky, a mile or so from the ocean. The pilot was undoubtably heading for the sea, once the trouble started. That's what they are trained to do, and have done for many years now. Just hoping that most of the folks in the apartment complex were away at work or activities. Damage to property is easily fixed. People, not so much. (Apr 6, 2012 | post #2)
Again, twaddle. Lets stop assuming and think. Where did the wine drunk by Jesus or anyone else in the Holy Land at that period in time, come from? Not the sun-blasted landscape that is Judea. I will wait for your reply. Hint: Amphorae (Apr 6, 2012 | post #16201)
I am suggesting nothing, save perhaps that you concentrate on reading comprehension. I SAID: The EXACT figure may never be known for certain. I KNOW that no one counted the six million individual remains, much less thirty million. But the number is high, without doubt. The EXACT number will never be known for certain. I ended with: I do not think that the exact count is important. The fact that so many died, in such a callous manner, is the lesson that should be learned and not repeated. Clear? (Apr 6, 2012 | post #33)
Come a little further south. Down thisaway, the good ol' southern gals know how to fry up some yardbird. So, grocery store chicken doesn't tase too much different than you can get elsewhere. Though none of it tastes quite like Popeye's. They do it differently at Popeye's, and I cannot say that I am a big fan. And don't you guys have Bojangles' where you live? It didn't make the list. (Apr 5, 2012 | post #26)
The 10 commandments are decent rules to live one's life. There is not too much that folks could find fault with. Honoring thy father and mother, No killing, no stealing, no coveting, no adultery. I suppose we could do worse. (Apr 5, 2012 | post #6)
I understand the confusion by Simply Said. Modern protestants DO NOT use real wine when taking communion. They often substitute grape juice instead. One would have to visit a Catholic church to partake of Holy Communion using the real stuff. Or Lutheran (Catholic Light) ceremonies, where real wine is used. It was a shock to me when I visited my girlfriend's Lutheran church. The shot I received contained REAL WINE, not the Welches' that I had become accustomed. Add to that fact that we were at early service that time around, wine at 830am, was certainly NOT what I had expected! (Apr 5, 2012 | post #16163)
