The Republican Party does not win elections with Democrat-Lite, it seems that it's taking the party leadership a long time to figure that out but they will. A party out of power, has no power. I think it's a great side effect of electing a black President. How could anyone be against black fathers stepping up and taking responsiblity for the children they spawn. What's ironic is that you state: "people on these forums have praised Bill Cosby for his remarks", I guess you mean conseratives on topix. For the LEFT chastised Cosby for this comments back then. The race baiters Sharpton and Jackson especially. So the fact that the LEFT has elected to listen to the message instead of attack the messenger is very positive. You make no sense again. The position of Palin/Limbaugh/Bec k is RIGHT WING. It is completely against spending. It is completely against the Democrat-Lite policies that the GOP embraced under Bush. That is the party leadership that I am talking about. This is the party leadership that needs to change. This is the party leadership that let spending get out of control 8 years ago and gave us McCain in 2008. The Republican party leadership are moderates. I don't agree with the 30 year shut out comment, he's been a card carrying Republican for that long. It's no surprise that they didn't let him speak at the convention, do you forget who their candidate was? My point was that Paul basically speaks the Liberatarian platform. Never before has the Liberatarian platform been as successful as it was in 2008 with Ron Paul. I view Ron Pauls run in 2008 as successful for he converted people on the LEFT and the RIGHT and never before has that platform been that mainstream.  (Nov 4, 2009 | post #35)
