Very nicely worded! You seem to have this one issue well researched! I do not know enough about this issue or any issue to discuss it in such detail. It seems to me that discussing politics is much like discussing the bible, one can find a verse to back any position needed. I do not like politics enough to go to those depths. Every rock I have over turned, I have found that it is not a conservative or a liberal under the rock, just a politician. And the people who argue politics are usually as brainwashed as any fundie. For instance, most conservatives are very much against the bailouts, yet so many 'right wing' politicians voted for it. It started when Bush was still in office! Then when Obama was elected, these same 'right wingers' stood up against it. So far, every military action taken since I can remember has been blessed by the group in office and then when they were voted out; suddenly the military action was a horrible idea! Each side accusing the other of being anti-American. <<Most will of course remember it best from the right because of the nasty politics of the Bush era, but the left has done it too. I vote that we vote against anyone in office! This country is not in the toilet because of Liberal or Conservatives; it is in the toilet because of bad politics. These of course are just my opinions and as I said, I rarely argue politics. (Monday Dec 14 | post #207346)

Luke said, "Therefore, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning" Notice that he does not say that god inspired him to write this, but that he investigated something that happened 60 some year prior! The short answer: I am against big government, government bailouts, government handout. I think that while we should have a standard by which we live, ie. not allowed to murder, steal and run around naked in public, I do think it is time to give gays equal rights.
