A Daley for a White House job? Critics lash out at 'Chica...

Of course people are going to be against this move. I mean all that any sensible person has to do is look at the City of Chicago and see how dismal it is; major debt, highest taxes in the Country, major unemployment and always corruption. The unfortunate issue is the voters continue to put these clowns in office and now they are starting to move in on a Federal level. Maybe Oprah knew it was a bad move when Obama was elected and that was the reason she was crying at Grant Park on Election Night.  (Jan 5, 2011 | post #1)

Navy commander loses carrier job over lewd videos

Typical Government move, lets wait 4-5 years to bring the guy up on charges. If anyone has been stuck on a ship for 6 months then you would understand that lewd humor is appreciated and keeps moral in troops up. On another note, his anti-gay slurs are just the tip of the iceberg of what you are going to see now that Congress has managed to play politics to a T. You are going to see moral lowered in the services and you are going to see a big decline in enlistment from people who would have served this country well all for the 60,000 homosexuals who might enlist and then again might not. Don't Ask, Don't Tell was the best thing Clinton ever did.  (Jan 4, 2011 | post #1)

Ethics committee to meet on Rangel's punishment

What does it matter? It's not like this ethics commitee can do anything worthwhile. Just another waste of taxpayer money and much ado about nothing.  (Nov 19, 2010 | post #22)

Pirates hire Clint Hurdle as manager

Got to wonder if Pittsburgh is ever wanting to leave the basement or not. Hurdle would be a good coach but his record as a manager is horrible! He was a manager from 2002 to the beginning of 2009 and managed to compile only one winning season. Not exactly what I would consider management material. If they were smart they would have hired Ryne Sandberg as the manager. Although he has no experience as a manager in the big leagues he has compiled an excellent winning record as a manager in every division of the minors and obviously knows how to handle younger players. At this rate I should be able to buy the Pirates in the next few years for pocket change.  (Nov 17, 2010 | post #1)

Feds bust heroin drug ring, 29 charged

No it isn't but it is nowhere close to what I make doing legal work. Just think of the potential good these dealers could do if they applied themselves into something constructive.  (Oct 21, 2010 | post #14)

What is Your Opinion of the Bush Presidency

Comparisons only happen when you have something to judge against.  (Aug 26, 2010 | post #30)

What is Your Opinion of the Bush Presidency

Bush didn't send any industries overseas, they left because of cheaper labor (thank you Unions) and better tax breaks (thank you US Government). I will however, pay homage to you on the fact that the WTO has done nothing but screw our economy. It used to be that you could tell how the economy was doing by the stock market but since a good portion of public traded companies are foriegn, you cannot use the Stock Market as a measuring stick any longer. I like to play the middle of the road when it comes to politics (since both parties are full of shit) but I don't believe one party sets the other up for failure. Henceforth, I don't believe Bush set anyone up for failure. In fact I believe that he was trying to actually play a bi-partisan position in some of his stances such as allowing people to buy homes that actually had no business trying to buy a home with a poor credit score and no time on a job. Think about it? Bush comes out in 2003 and says anyone who wishes to own a home should be allowed too. This is as liberal of a statement as I had ever heard, although I capitalized on it as a residential developer, but just imagine you have a sub 500 score and you are being offered the same opportunity, with the same amount down payment as someone who has a 720 score. To me that is a problem just waiting to happen! This is why I think the economy has tanked, not because Bush was an idiot on all fronts but because his biggest problem was not remaining true to the conservative side.  (Aug 26, 2010 | post #29)

it's Over: Tiger Woods, Elin Nordegren Officially Split

Didn't Tiger have a prenup? Although, he is a low down dog, I don't believe he should be giving up 75% of his fortune to someone who obviously is not that good at keeping a man.  (Aug 24, 2010 | post #6)

What is Your Opinion of the Bush Presidency

Bush had his problems like any other President and some of the things probably didn't make sense (Iraq War) but to judge him correctly you need to ask yourself; Are you better off now than when he was in office? I can pretty much guarantee that most people are going to answer NO!!!! You can come up with all the reasons you want but the question will always remain! On the other hand Obama has been in office for a year and a half and nothing has changed, in fact it has done nothing but gotten worse. Therefore, I don't think Obama has anything on Bush at this point.  (Aug 23, 2010 | post #25)

Chicago Police Officers take on Chicago Firefighters in ...

So you actually believe that building a mosque next to the biggest act of terrorism on US soil that was caused by the Muslims would be acceptable? You surely cannot be that insensitive or lack that much common decency. It would border on rubbing salt into old wounds and no one with any amount of logic or common sense would do such a thing. As someone posted on another blog site, its about common decency!  (Aug 16, 2010 | post #9)
