Chuck Tocar unfit to be mayor

Prince Charles finally got someone to move into the old Hollywood Video store. Only took a decade!  (Jun 17, 2016 | post #11)

and there off The 2017 race for Mayor.

The Village Inaction Party will be making our triumphant return to CR politics in 2017. I'm giving out pensions to the first 100 people that crash into the cemetery fence on 111th. We're also in talks with Milli Vanilli to appear at Ridge Fest next year.  (Jun 6, 2016 | post #7)

OK, so where did they find the rats?

Got my pamphlet from the village last week about preventing and eliminating rats. Since this is local municipal government we are dealing with, I assume they are reacting to a problem at the typical snail's pace and that there are already a large number of rats residing in CR. This is not the colloquial Ridge Rat we are discussing but actual rodents with slimy tails and mighty incisors. Alright, that sounds like the politicians at the Village Hall. Hey hey! But seriously, this ain't good. Possums don't get along well with rats. What's next, cockroaches?  (Mar 2, 2016 | post #1)

Empty lots on 111th

Thomas' Appliances is going belly up now. Grice claims they are closing but I will believe that when it happens. They seem to have a going out of business sale once a year. Ridgeland now has more empty storefronts than occupied ones. This place is looking like a ghost town.  (Aug 18, 2015 | post #33)

Is this site even relevant to Chicago Ridge anymore?? Bar...

I'm keeping it relevant. The voices of CR will not be silenced! Although, I think Tokar had Nutbag "taken care of."  (Mar 25, 2015 | post #4)

Empty lots on 111th

O'Connor's is gone and is now Papa Joe's. Doggin' It closed quickly. Big surprise there since nothing ever lasts at that spot. But we still got that lovely former junkyard to ogle when entering CR westbound on 111th.  (Mar 25, 2015 | post #25)

RR track closing

Anyone know how long the tracks are going to be closed on Ridgeland?  (Sep 1, 2014 | post #1)

RR tracks

Getting mighty cavernous on Ridgeland by the creek! Pits, clefts, wounds, gashes, abysses, holes, maws, and cavities abound!  (Mar 5, 2014 | post #1)

coyotes

Naw. I got plenty of places to roam in CR now. Ain't ya noticed all the empty lots?  (Mar 3, 2014 | post #9)

coyotes

I've seen two together twice in the last three days. They appear to be living in the small wooded area behind Walsh's business.  (Feb 25, 2014 | post #7)

coyotes

I've spotted two and perhaps a third (not entirely sure it was a coyote). This was around September and October near the 111th and Central residential areas. Always a lone coyote and always a night. Keep your pets close.  (Jan 13, 2014 | post #2)

Cemetary Fence

I noticed a nice gaping hole across from The Royal Palace. With the snow and the imbibing going on tonight, we may get a few more holes before the new year.  (Dec 31, 2013 | post #186)

Big Bang Theory

There was an earth-shattering kaboom last night in CR. Power was out for some of the village. A flash of light lit up the sky. So, what caused it? Tokar's head exploded after seeing the latest pension debt? Moody smashed the sound barrier in his big red fire truck? Brad Grove finally broke ground on his bar's expansion?  (Dec 22, 2013 | post #1)
