NO DRUGS-ILLEGALS in US!

I am not angry. I am appalled by the fact that individuals like you think you have the right to oppress other people's free will. I do not do any of the things you mention in your post. There are no statistics to support cannabis causes any of the things you mentioned either. You are just another fool with a head full of bullshit propaganda. When you do a little research and learn the real facts behind prohibition then come back and talk to me.  (Mar 9, 2013 | post #4)

Marijuana - Cary, NC

Well, I don't guess you would want your doctor to smoke a fat joint directly before surgery anymore than you would want him to guzzle a pint of liquor. No one wants an inebriated physician trying to work on them. There are plenty of things people can use to intoxicate themselves. Wasting billions of tax dollars isn't helping the situation. Marijuana is not a bad product. It has a plethora of uses and is mostly benign and non-toxic. where are your complaints? FYI Marijuana actually deters people from harder drugs (like alcohol). The gateway theory is bull.  (Mar 8, 2013 | post #39)

NO DRUGS-ILLEGALS in US!

Your a raving lunatic. This country was built on hemp, and keeping drugs illegal is what empowers the drug cartels. Why don't you try worrying about your own life and let us decide the best path for ourselves. You're and arrogant prick for thinking you should have a say so in my personal choices. What basis do you have to deem yourself worthy of this? People need to learn respect and tolerance.  (Mar 8, 2013 | post #2)

Is medical marijuana legal in North Carolina?

No Raleigh Guy Marijuana is not legal in the state of NC medical or otherwise. A bill was introduced this year titled HB 84 "The North Carolina Cannabis Act." Unfortunately for many of the sick and suffering citizens of NC who could have benefited from this measure it was killed in the house rules committee with an unfavorable report. This means that no MMJ legislation can really be discussed for about another 2 years. Welcome to the ass backwards state of NC. Everyone else is moving forward past this idiotic prohibition while many in this state still cling to their archaic, propagandized beliefs. Hopefully more tolerance and understanding of this plant will find it's way into NC soon.  (Mar 2, 2013 | post #2)

North Carolina Lawmakers Kill Medical Marijuana Bill Afte...

The GOP-controlled North Carolina House Rules Committee killed a medical marijuana legalization bill earlier this February, after lawmakers complained that backers of the measure were bothering them with requests for their support. As WRAL's N.C. Capitol blog reports, lawmakers allowed only 20 minutes of public debate on the legislation before deciding to give it an "unfavorable report." An infrequently used procedure, such an action effectively prevents any further medical marijuana legalization bills from being considered by the General Assembly this session. A state Republican explained the extraordinary maneuver to N.C. Capital blog: "We did it to be done with it, so people could move on for the session," said Rep. Paul "Skip" Stam, R-Wake. He said lawmakers we're being "harassed " with phone calls and emails about medical marijuana. The medical marijuana movement has seen some support in North Carolina, and on Wednesday, Catherine Lyles, a 51-year-old brain cancer survivor testified before lawmakers, telling them that marijuana had allowed her to regain her appetite after treatment. Medical marijuana advocates reportedly heavily outnumbered the single opponent who appeared at the hearing, but lawmakers were apparently unmoved by the showing of support. Does this annoy anyone else as much as me. Not that this is the most relevant issue on the table but it is a relevant issue that is apparently important to many North Carolinians. What is your take on the matter. Also does any one have a legitimate reason cannabis should still be illegal? This is 2013 and all.  (Mar 2, 2013 | post #1)
