Cleavage isn't necessarily a bad thing, especially if the woman is wearing a dress, but something about excessively short shorts just seems kind of sloppy. (Monday | post #10)
Batman only wins if it is a match about who is cooler, or has a better story. Batman is just a more interesting character, and his villains are undoubtedly a bigger draw. The sad truth is that the comics made Superman entirely over powered, which is why I have never been a big fan of him. Granted I'm more of a Darkhorse Comics, and EC fan. The closest thing to a superhero comic that I really love is Hack/Slash. (Thursday Jun 13 | post #6)
Some people are scum. good luck. What kind of douche really finds that funny? (Sunday Jun 2 | post #2)

I'm not referring solely to witches. There are plenty of people who follow a religion based largely on Paganism, who don't necessarily practice, or even believe in, witchcraft. My religion may be considered an almost atheistic form of Paganism, albeit within the confines of my Unitarian Universalist church. I believe that there is probably some kind of higher power, but I don't trust anyone who claims to have the one true understanding of it, and think that it is best to envision it in any way that helps you relate to one's own spirituality and the world around them. I could accept that if it was just kids. I have met a huge number of local Pagans who are in their fifties and sixties. Hell, my eighty year old great-grandma dabbled in witchcraft, although this may have been an attempt to scare her superstitious neighbors. Spencer's exists all over the country, and I would assume that every location sells pentacle necklaces. But, there are so many small shops that also sell this stuff locally, 360 being the best example in Etown. And Louisville has a number of Wiccan/Pagan/New Age shops. There's that place behind Great Escape that caters to more serious witches, and is often a very fun place to poke around in. Matrix:A Place of Change, caters more to the New Age crowd. I know that every Metropolis has a few of these places, and the New Age cities like Austen, Boulder, and the Twin City area of Minnesota probably have more. But again, the area from Louisville, and arguably the three big cities across the river, down to Etown, seem to have far more followers than one would expect. I realize that there is a constant stream of both conversion, and apostasy within modern Neo-Paganism. Kids join for various reasons, and then often drop out. I was a Wiccan as a teen, and I still consider my morality to be largely based on that religion. But, the religion has, at the absolute most, one million members in America. It seems odd that there is such a massive concentration of them in this one little area. (Friday May 31 | post #8)
You are completely wrong on this one. My ancestors gave me the gift of their genes, not their race (granted a few of my ancestors were Native American, while others were German or Scottish). This really seems to go against everything you said in the other forum (which I mostly agreed with). You are acting as though race is all there is to anyone. People should date people they share common interests with. Once again I am going to refer to my social circle and the great relationships I see among my friends. There is a large number of white guys with black girlfriends, a few black guys with white girlfriends, Asians with white girlfriends (one guy I see at the clubs apparently has two of them, possibly in some kind of triad), etc. Parents should pass on their values, customs, and knowledge. Skin color is irrelevant. And from the natural standpoint, most races have common genetic defects and health problems. Inter-racial births may hypothetically be a way to combat these problems (for example, Osteoporosis in white and Asian women, and congenital heart problems in African Americans). That's what I'm trying to figure out as well. I've never heard of the MCC proselytizing. And this guy didn't even know about the pride center until he overheard, or listened in on, someone else's conversation. (Sunday May 26 | post #61)
I think it's important to note that the Talmud and Jewish tradition (which I consider more important than what some British guys wrote 1600 years later) consider Sodom and Gomorrah's sins to be inhospitality, violence, and gluttony. The Jewish laws of hospitality, regarding the treatment of visitors to their country and towns, are treated very seriously. Regardless, any religion that would view sex with another dude to be worse than rape, murder, or chucking out one's daughters so they can be raped, is not worthy of being followed by anyone with real morals. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, at all. But every time I go to Etown I always see cars with Pagan and Goddess Worship bumper stickers, and people wearing Pentacles. There are a surprising number of stores that sell supplies for witches, 360 in the mall being the most known. I'm not saying it is like the Twin Cities area of Minnesota, but there does seem to be a very visible presence, for a religion which probably has less than one million followers worldwide. where can u rent porn movies now
Doesn't Wild and Woolly in Louisville still rent porn? (Friday May 24 | post #10)
That's the great thing about being involved in specific subcultures based on hobbies and interests. All the gay people I know personally (outside of work) and hang out with are people I know due to similar tastes in music, movies, and other stuff. Gay bars are really annoying (alhtough I do enjoy hanging out in lesbian bars, but there aren't any good ones in Louisville). (Friday May 24 | post #43)
That center mainly just hosts meetings of PFLAG, where parents try to discuss how to protect their children from bigots like you guys. I'd say they think their kids don't need to see your bigotry. It sounds like you guys are the ones trying to push your lives on other people. (Tuesday May 21 | post #4)
It wasn't empty when I was there. Slow for a Saturday maybe, but in no way vacant. (Monday May 20 | post #21)
People really need to give more information on these posts. It would help to know an approximate age (not sure if that 48 stands for how old you are), and your music tastes. Going to a bar that reflects your interests more gives you something to talk about with people. (Sunday May 19 | post #5)
