German Food - Bring back the Fish Stand

Go to Jim & Cindy's in Marissa. Mary knows how to cook. Try weekend breakfasts. It is worth the drive  (Jul 4, 2012 | post #3)

Ok. Long enough vacation for Officers on paid Admin. leave. Time to clean house and we don't mean Merry Maids. Hire the people who need the jobs n toss the ones who are ruining our small town image. Question their two trustee buddies who are clueless & clearly do not have the Village's best interest in mind.  (Jul 4, 2012 | post #16)

Freeburg officers on paid leave pending investigation

I'm sure channel 5 news will let us know as soon as they get wind. Can't count on local print.  (Jun 27, 2012 | post #23)

Way too long. Too bad they didn't put all that energy into protecting the tax payers. Just embarrasing themselves, the Village n those who believe the bologna they are feeding info to. Wake up already.  (Jun 26, 2012 | post #14)

Freeburg officers on paid leave pending investigation

Why should these Officer's on paid admin. leave get any more respect than those they arrest. Right is right & wrong is wrong. They are allowed to tell people what they want them to hear while the administration & SA Office can't comment. If one of the officers in question is also a Fgs Board member i would also be checking into what he has been getting away with. Don't they have a dark cloud hanging over the school. Unbelievable.  (Jun 16, 2012 | post #19)

The two in question have been talking about it freely throughout town. One is friends with local paper & also Board President of Freeburg grade school. When you are a public figure, why on earth would you be so careless. Dont they realize that their actions affect their family, co-workers and friends.  (Jun 4, 2012 | post #8)

Well - Freeburg didn't choose an Arsonist, they chose Freeburg. I do agree, however, Freeburg isnt what it used to be. You can't stop growth and with growth comes new residents who bring their family and friends. That's not a bad thing. The truth will come out of the wrong doing of those in question. I'm glad it isn't being swept under the carpet. Go Freeburg for standing your ground! That is why people choose to move here:)  (May 30, 2012 | post #3)

DUI charge filed against Freeburg woman after head-on crash

She is alive and didn't put her parents through the most dreaded phone call a parent could receive. Maybe she could tell a friend not to do the same, and that friend would tell a friend and so on.  (Mar 28, 2012 | post #1)

Thanks to the Freeburg Fire Dept. for a professional job they handled at the crash scene that night.  (Mar 10, 2012 | post #1)
