Where is Our Sheriff ??

for the most part 'insider' is correct about the interim sheriff and his deputies who live OUTSIDE the county and who cannot vote for him. He is a literal slap-in-the-face to the citizens who want true law-enforcement here. there is a reason the deputies cannot patrol ... if they do, the fuel fund will be depleted before the fiscal year runs out. The deputies drive their units home, one to as far away as Centerville and nearly ALL of the others OUTSIDE of the county. Shipper and Machinski, along with Ralph live in the county, but nearly everyone else does not and they drive their units back and forth on county fuel and in county vehicles. It is pretty simple when it comes to voting for or against Ralph .. a vote FOR him is a vote FOR the criminal elements. Like I have said before, granted only ONCE before, but even Steve Jones's corrupt dept did more than this guy even attempts to do. All he seems interested in is when 5 o'clock is and where his next cold beer is coming from. At least these commuting deputies could generate some traffic revenue on their commutes to offset the expenses, it is not rocket science and would help in more ways that I have time to elaborate on here.  (Sep 22, 2009 | post #229)

Where is TPD

IF the P.D. would use the drug dog and the current staff of existing officers and actually perform meaningful raids WITH seizures, the newly acquired seizures can be auctioned off to add more "revenue " to the P.D.'s budget which can be in turn used for other things in the budget freeing up monies for pay-raises, equipment, training, etc. PERFORMANCE and attitude is the key to it though, not belly-aching and whining about the alleged "dismal work conditions". It is nice to see others finally taking notice as well as taking the time and effort to inquire as to why these things are or are not occurring. Has anyone noticed if they are policing the school zone speed limits while they are in effect? That seems as though that would be a routine duty performed on a daily basis. Carolyn ... instead of simply asking or calling around, you should go have a look with your own eyes and see first-hand what goes on here in our fair city after-hours. The bar on main-street, the Watering Hole is an excellent place to observe, its open and blatant drug sales/distribution , prostitution and routinely occurring fights, which nearly ALWAYS go undocumented by both the PD and SO, are but a few common examples of the sort of activities that are silently approved of by your city council controlled police department. You are all right on the money (pun intended, lol) .. these two were just patsy's and there really should be a 'house cleaning' along with bylaw restructuring and 'security' contract scrutiny. The "Huffman contract" alone is one of your biggest wastes of money and is only a "sweetheart " deal of sorts made by inept POA officers. LOLOL .. not hardly. I am NOT letigious and so this abstract comment has absolutley no effect on me. Fankly, Idon't think I have EVER advocated ANYONE taking such a path since simply seeking the TRUTH will result in a much better outcome than making some lawyer some where richer at the expense of the populous. NOT a fan of litigation and never have been, to me legal groups are tantamount to a form of gangsterism when they become power or money hungry and lose sight of their purpose .. It is horribly unfortunate, but it does seem as though it has reached a pandemic level like a few other diseases have in recent times. GREED and corruption in this tiny little town, coupled with influence-peddling and old-fashioned "bullying " has and is still keeping what COULD be a very nice place to live and raise children in the dark-ages of America compared to many other places of similar size. Some of which are just an hour drive away. LOLOL .. I NEVER claimed I did know you, IF you re-read my statement I made it clear that mere postings can and often are misconstrued as you have done with mine. I do not even try, nor desire, to "judge" people, I do not believe "man" has that authority, ONLY the Creator does ultimately. It is refreshing to hear of someone taking enough interest to actually do as you have stated and only wish that were more of a "norm" than exception to the status quo. It is a shame you did not read or comprehend my ENTIRE statement before jumping to such inaccurate conclusions or you would have not made such presumptions. Neil talks to me about certain subjects, I have his home phone number, but the KEYWORDS are "certain subjects". Those he does not feel like addressing, he simply ignores and probably rightfully so since he is not the brightest bulb on the tree. As far as Art goes, well I am simply not in the proper "cliche" for his liking, and unless I want to buy an over-priced vehicle he wouldn't bother even giving me the proper time of day. But believe me, eventually something at sometime by someone be done about their illegal NON-compliance I assure you and the rest of the areas citizen tax-payers who contribute to the "invisible fund" EVERY time you pay ANY taxes for ANYTHING at a business inside the city limits.  (Jul 24, 2009 | post #24)
