Attorney for Special Needs Kids: School coming to League ...

Due to the big vision of a man whom I couldn't respect more, an A+++ school will be built by next September in Leauge City for special needs children (with subsidies and foundations picking up some of the tab for these children so that parents can afford it, unlike other schools in Houston), Internaional Students, and Gifted and Talented. A 5 acre piece of land had building has been found and are fundraising to pay National Fundraising Consultants and Coaches to help us make this happen. For more information, go to http://www.attorne y4specialneeds.blo gspot.com or http://www.atty4ki ds.org or write [email protected] hoo.com. Thank you for your support!  (Oct 19, 2011 | post #1)

Attorneys for Special Needs Children seeks Donors for Spe...

Gordon Hartman recently saw a dream come to fruition as he and several students with disabilities joined one another to raise the flag on San Antonio's new special needs school, Monarch Academy. I love the "Monarch " butterfly, the symbol embraced by those with autism. The Monarch Academy opened its doors this September and is the second major gift this wonderman has given to special needs children. Most know him for his gift of the $30 million Morgan's Wonderland, a 24 acre theme part designed especially for students with special needs in San Antonio. Children with special needs have the joy not previously experienced of going to a theme park free of charge thanks to a man whose heart couldn't be bigger. Gordan Hartman has shown a level of compassion and love for these children and their parents in building the Monarch Academy, with tuition a fraction of the cost of other similar schools, $13,500 versus $30,000. Parents with disabled children simply cannot afford this unless they are quite wealthy--which excludes the majority of disabled children from getting a quality education. Hartman's generosity is further evidenced in the provision of financial aid to families in need from his family's own foundation. Pinch me! I must be dreaming and yet I am sad for all the children who do not have access to this. Jerry Lara of Express News reports that Monarch Academy has a 3.5:1 student teacher ratio with 35 students and plans for much larger growth. Gordon says, “We're starting off small, but we have incredible plans to grow." Hartman wants to build a soccer stadium flanking Morgan's Wonderland and use revenue from it to support the special-needs park, but the city and county turned down his request for $8 million in construction costs. He delayed those plans and struck a deal with the North East Independent School District to use its nearby Heroes Stadium for his minor-league Scorpions team. Gordan Hartman says that initially, all funding will come from his family foundation, including construction costs, tuition assistance, and other expenses attendent to running the school. Hartman is still trying to raise revenue to support Morgan's Wonderland, which is free for visitors with special needs, but admits that the theme park has its own Non-Profit and is entirely separate from his current endeavor. "They are going to work together in many ways,” he said. Monarch Academy students will benefit from the Morgan's Wonderland facilities. “But they are not connected entities.” I find it sweet that students attending Monarch have the awesome pleasure of looking out the window at a theme partk built just for them. Hartman said individuals and organizations have expressed interest in supporting the school. Amazingly, this school became a reality in only a few months, because Hartman heart so many heart felt stories from families who truly needed help. I so wish for a Gordan Hartman to magically appear in Clear Lake / League City as I try to help a man I could not esteem more build a special needs school like this one. Most parents with disabled children cannot afford $30,000 and trust me, public school is a despicable place to have to place your child in Region Four. With a growing autistic population that our Federal, State and Local government refuses to help by taking ACTION, preferring lip service, it is going to be up to us if these kids get help. A brilliant special needs professional with three Ph.D's has plans for a subsized special needs school in League City. The gentleman in charge of this project hopes to honor the person, business or firm by naming the school after them--so that no one ever forgets who made it happen. Short of one foundation or endowment, we will have a "Wall of Champions" permanently visible in the foremost portion of the school to thank those who gave--regardless of how much. The School will be a 501c3 Non-Profit, rendering all donations tax deductible due to retro-active application.  (Oct 17, 2011 | post #1)

Clock ticks on Giraffe Libel Lawsuit

If the blog is a disaster, it didn't become that by my comments, but a bunch of hagglers with the inability to restrain ignorance, malice and pure unfounded unjustified character assassination from hate speech and libel.  (Oct 11, 2011 | post #5)

Where's Waldo or, um, Sheriff Adrian Garcia

You know Klout deemed me a specialist on Waldo? Lol. This is the only time I have ever said that silky phrase but certainly applicable.  (Oct 11, 2011 | post #6)

For the record, if any participant interpreted my statement in this blog as critical of a man I adore and admire for integrity, that wasn't what I meant to convey at all. I'm Lou's biggest fan!  (Oct 11, 2011 | post #15)

Wow. You actually have a heart and you're right about everything but two statements. I never implied anything about Louis so don't add lies to otherwise nice statements about who I am and have always been! I am Lou's biggest fan and don't care if you're not. To each his own. I never said Yankees smoke crack. I only suggested that drunk band members whose passion is punk rock concerts with the audience throwing bottles at you and you reciprocating while contradicting oneself so many times, the person appears crazy, might suggest they lay off the alcohol and drugs. Slurred thoughts are just like slurred speech. If you're an Humble native, you're not a Yankee anyway. If you had the courage to identify yourself, I might recall that you were a nice person too or successful and smart. But relentless personal attacks merited exactly what my response was. I appreciate you finally acknowledging that I'm a good person and lawyer. I didn't write this blog to insult anyone. It was to clear Lou's name because he's a man of integrity. I'm not misinformed. I've read court documents that you don't even know exist with evidence, not smear jobs and lies. If I insulted anyone, that wasn't my mission. But when you slander people, get ready to eat some crow yourself. I don't tolerate e-bullying period. Have a great week. I trust we are done? So maybe you're not a band member. subpoenas will confirm who is who.  (Oct 11, 2011 | post #4)

Motion for Sanctions, Contempt filed against Attorney Mar...

Counts violated rule 13 by signing a sworn petiton which he knew contained countless instances of fraud and frivolous counter claims. Opposing counsel has asked the Judge to find him in contempt and assess sanctions for defrauding the Judge. She has also listed the Professional Rules he violated proving he is unfit to practice law, Rule 8.04 attorney misconduct in dishonesty and assisting a client to commit fraud, Rule 3.01 knowing asserting lies, 3.02 filing frivolous pleadings to harass and delay a proceeding and waste judicial resources, rule 4.04 threatening opposing counsel with prohibited actions to force her to drop her request to be paid fees by the Penningtons they stole, and defrauding the tribuinal with a statement / pleading full of lies. A hearing will occur to determine if he is sanctioned and the Defendants as well and fined for their fraud.  (Oct 11, 2011 | post #1)

Attorney Requests Sanctions against Attorney Mark Counts ...

Mark Counts represents a woman who committed perjury along with her husband, Dana Pennington and Greg Pennington of Spring, Texas. The couple filed sworn verifications full of fraud and lies and Mark used them to defraud a judge, violating Rule 13. This rule allows a judge to hold a party or lawyer in contempt and all three may get this, along with a finding that Dana and Greg Pennington perjured themselves and Mark Counts prepared the verification / affidavit that he knew was fraud.  (Oct 11, 2011 | post #1)
