Who is the Big Lebowski?

Did the movie title refer to the character played by Phillip Seymore Hoffman or The Dude? If I recall correctly The Dude did not use the name Jeffery Lebowski.  (Feb 13, 2008 | post #65)

Wendy's yanks pigtail ads

I didn't realize $3 was too much for a hamburger, small fries, and a small frosty. I think Wendy's has comparable prices to other fast food places. If anything, Arbys is a little more expensive.  (Jan 29, 2008 | post #3)

Green residents slinging mud in war over turf

Instead of complaining, why couldn't they help their neigbor when his child was sick. That would have been the neighborly thing to do. A few people, some rakes, grass seed and straw, what a concept.  (Dec 11, 2007 | post #5)

Murder charges dropped in slaying

There are more ways to convict a person than with witness testimony alone. There is such a thing as forensic evidence. It appears that the prosecutors are not even trying.  (Dec 11, 2007 | post #3)

Proposed school funding plan to draw from state taxes

I have said this all along, it is not going to matter in the end, especially for me. I will still pay one way or another, whether I am paying for schools through income / sales / property taxes. I Think people get angry when they see how much they are paying for property taxes and they think that by changing the funding formula they will have to pay less. This is probably not the case, changing the formula will not decrease the amount of money the school needs. At least I have some control with property taxes, if I don't have a huge, expensive house, I don't have to pay as much. I like having that choic. I don't get any control (as an individual) with how much income tax the state charges me.  (Dec 10, 2007 | post #23)

UA Zips to become Quakers?

Walking from Olin Hall to Quaker Square is almost as bad as walking from Olin to Polsky, something I had to do between classes. I say put all the fat people in the silo dorm; they can use the exercise.  (Jun 14, 2007 | post #15)

Big changes in UA landscape

Maybe the Don is upset because this wasn't something he could control and manipulate. He and his buddies won't be getting any money.  (Jun 14, 2007 | post #4)

I am not sure that the pro golfers would stay at the Radisson or Quaker Square. Tiger Woods stays at Brookside Counrty Club in Canton.  (Jun 13, 2007 | post #28)

Coventry takes loss to heart

While a regional school may make sense in reducing overhead, look at how well other large government run agencies work. Bigger is not always better.  (Jun 5, 2007 | post #64)

He waits years for day in court

The Summit County Sherrif and Prosecutor are such a joke. They are always putting the wrong people in jail. And the ones who should be in Jail (Cindy George) get out.  (May 25, 2007 | post #9)
