Raiano(Rajano) and Bottini Genealogy

Francis, Thank you for contacting me! My Father actually let me know that you responded. My Great Great Grandmother Theresa Fragola married a Silvestro Bottini. So I am wondering if this is the same Fragola family. If so we would be related. If you would like to email me direct my email is [email protected] I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Tammy  (Feb 24, 2012 | post #4)

Raiano(Rajano) and Bottini Genealogy

I am researching my family that were born and lived in Alife, Caserta, Italy. I found most of my Great Aunt's and Uncle's civil records for the Raiano(Rajano)fami ly. My Great Uncle Lucantonio Raiano, born 1875, passed away in March of 1956 and it said Alife. His siblings all moved to the US and stayed here. They lived in Utica, NY. Can someone help me in finding where he is buried and if there are any relatives still alive? The Bottini family is from Alife also. My Great Grandfather was Raffaele Bottini, son of Silvestro and Teresa Fragola, born in 1894 in Alife. He married Tommasina Raiano, born in 1892, daughter of Andrea and Teresa Macchiarelli. My Father, Sister, two Brothers and I will be visiting Italy, for the first time, at the end of June. It would be nice to connect to our family members. I look forward to your response. Piedimonte d'alife, Italy

Searching for Relatives: Mario Rocci

I have been doing my family genealogy for over a year now and have found out some interesting information. My Father was always told that our family was from Piedimonte D'Alife now called Piedimonte Matasse. I just found out that there is a small town called just Alife. It is near Piedimonte D'Alife. Ancestry.com has uploaded the civil records for Alife in the years 1862 - 1939. My Father's Grandparents were both born in Alife and came to the US in the 1800's. The Bottini's lived on Milgate Street and the Raiano's I believe lived on Leeds Street. I just found my Great Uncle Lucantonio Raiano's BC with his desceased info and it says he passed in Alife. My Father, Sister, two Brothers and I are going to Italy for the first time at the end of June! We are going to Alife and hope to find the burial area of our family. Does anyone know how I can find the burial location before we go to Italy? The web site at FultonHistory.com helped me fill in a lot of information on my family tree. Thank you for your help with my inquiry. Sincerely, T Bottini USA  (May 25, 2011 | post #7)
