Candidate forum set

For those who could not attend the Candidate Job Interview tonight, or had to be in the hall way because there wasn't enough room or chairs, or maybe you'd like to refresh your memory on an candidate answer or two the video of the job interview will likely be posted on the Clear Lake Area Republicans website and or facebook page within a few days. Any questions that did not get asked or answered can be directed to the candidates individually and then shared here.  (Apr 24, 2013 | post #5)

Postives for Pound?

Well of course not, that's rude and unprofessional.  (Apr 17, 2013 | post #23)

Postives for Pound?

I'm sorry to disagree with you but the meet and greet is from 6-6:30 before the job interview begins at 6:30. There will be questions pre-selected yes, but I bet there will be open Q&A for each candidate there.  (Apr 16, 2013 | post #6)

There Will be a candidate forum for the mayoral and council seat 1 on April 24th at DP's La Quinta Hotel on East Blvd at 6:30pm. It will be your opportunity to hear and ask job interview type questions of the candidates to help you decide who you want to vote for.  (Apr 16, 2013 | post #4)

running for mayor?

Regarding the up coming Mayoral race...Is there going to be a candidate forum so citizens of Deer Park can question and answer these men about their plans for the future of our town? Or do we just get to read what the Boardcaster chooses to print? Deer Park will get the leadership we settle for.  (Mar 13, 2013 | post #31)

DPISD School Board Election

I don't think the location is that big of a deal. It does save money and you will get larger turnout of voters. Of course, if you're just trying to get elected the fewer the voters, the fewer needed to get elected. So, getting elected by a few is better than by many; again not a representative government, but your cronies. Seems the focus should be issues, taxes, and the security of our town, schools from federal incroachment. The candidate that can rally the citizens, educate them on the issues, engage them in the greatest priviledge of citizenship-voting -is the one worthy of being elected.  (Feb 18, 2013 | post #16)

DPISD School Board Election

No wonder the DPISD Board of Trustees hasn't changed in 8 years, there's no interest in making a difference, just comdemning, complaining and criticizing.  (Feb 14, 2013 | post #4)
