Big 10 honors go to Purdue's Hummel

I never said it was a "quality win". I was pointing out that at the time they played, So Ill. was a ranked team. A win on the road at Ohio St. on network TV is a quality win. I don't have a problem saying IU is overrated, but I think there is a lot of room to improve with all the talent they have. I'm excited to play the next three games, all against ranked teams. DJ and his teammates will be ready! HOOSIER UP! (Whatever that means)  (Feb 11, 2008 | post #77)

That's an unfortunate name you have loosier! Why go to the store for milk and eggs when you serve up those delicious fries at McDs everyday for me!  (Feb 11, 2008 | post #74)

Big 10 honors go to Purdue's Hummel

Some uneducated Purdue fan made the statement that IU had not won against a rank team. I was pointing out (a fact on Dec. 1st) that at the time we played So Ill., they were ranked. With your logic, who's to say that Wisconsin doesn't lose a few more games and drops out of the top 25. Wouldn't Purdue's win still be classified as against top 25 team! Me=Yes You=No What do I know, I'm just delusional!  (Feb 11, 2008 | post #68)

Purdue logic again! Purdue lost to Clemson; Clemson almost beat UNC; so using the transitive property Purdue must be great because they too would lose to UNC! IUs loses: Xavier ranked #13 Wisconsin ranked #14 Connecticut ranked #17  (Feb 11, 2008 | post #61)

Where is Indiana's losses to teams outside of the top 25? That's right, we don't have any. Purdue: A loss to Wofford (who?)(at home!) and Clemson and Iowa St and Missouri. Sorry for using your same mindless logic to prove my point! Are all Purdue fans as bitter in life as you?  (Feb 11, 2008 | post #38)

Nice effort from Hummel, but were is the love for DJ White. He averaged 18 points and 11.5 rebounds in two road games this week. Maybe a co-Big 10 honors?  (Feb 11, 2008 | post #4)

Key to open-wheel unity may be in Japan

It will be interesting to see how many of the Champ Car teams make the jump even with the free cars, engines and $1.2M TEAM program money. Several of their driver have never competed on ovals (and never had a desire too). My guess is less then 10 cars/teams will make the move. Because of the new ownership switching to the IRL, KK and Forsythe are no longer inclined to subsidies the smaller CC teams. And with Tony having to dish out extra TEAM money and free cars, he won't want to subsidies them either. I'm sure Tony will have no more then 2 cars with Vision Racing. I'm thinking about 22-24 car field.  (Feb 8, 2008 | post #76)

Advanced safety technology that will be adapted in some way to NASCARs in the next few years. Then we will have to hear about how great NASCAR is in developing safety technology like they did with the HANS device and Soft Walls at oval tracks!  (Feb 6, 2008 | post #3)

I'm with you PattyFan! Unbelievable that Peyton would want to congratulate his brother. Can you believe Plaxico Burress little 3 year old daughter. He was holding her after the game next to the stage. All I could think is, what a little stinker she is, trying to steal the "Spotlight " from her dad! How dare her, looking all cute and stuff! The nerve of some family members! p.s. Loser  (Feb 4, 2008 | post #90)
