Your posts remind me of Captain Queeg on the bridge of the USS Caine during a typhoon. Hysterical. Calm yourself man! (Nov 30, 2009 | post #96)

There it is. How do you reason with somebody who descends to attacking the patriotism of a sitting President? Remember when criticizing a sitting President, while at war as we are, used to be treason to the right? No, these people are self-deluded and irreconciable. (Nov 30, 2009 | post #85)
Huckabee leaning against another presidential run
Go ahead Governor Huckabee. You'll find yourself torpedo'd 'Willie Horton' style... "Nine years ago in Arkansas, The Seattle Times reported, Mr. Clemmons [suspect of gunning down four uniformed officers] was released from prison after Gov. Mike Huckabee commuted his lengthy prison sentence, over the protests of prosecutors." http://www.nytimes .com/2009/12/01/us /01tacoma.html ...isn't that the move of a bleeding heart liberal? Excellent point. A true conservative would understand the necessity of a small standing army and how the large one we maintain today is contrary to the intent of the founders. Find me a conservative who will admit we need to cut the budget of the Department of Defense and Health & Human Services by %50, plus raise taxes by %5 across the board to pay down the debt (Nov 30, 2009 | post #80)

Well put...it's just easier listening to the garbage Limbaugh, Hannity, and Beck spew than actually conducting first hand research. Plus, they wouldn't be able to squirm with faustian delight as the radio god engages in unapologetic liberal bashing. (Nov 30, 2009 | post #79)

That's the root of your error. You interpretation of the Constitution is completely detached from +230 years of judicial review and legislative procession. Your wisdom and intelligence, no matter how complicated or simple, cannot exceed that of all the Justices to have ever dedicated their entire lives to the study of Constitutional law. About what? If you're referring to social spending, I'm appalled by the waste that has become status qou. An experienced thug could conceivably derive his entire livelihood from government programs: housing, food, health care, utilities, cell phones, etc, etc. I'm all for establishing a base line of poverty that we as a nation, state, or community make a compact that no one of us should live beneath; but as for creating a co-dependent relationship that is passed on generation to generation, no thank you. Hehehe...the Teabaggers honestly believe they represent more than 30% of the American electorate. They way I see it, they're the vocal minority hippies during the 70's against the silent majority who demonstrated their objection through silence. (Nov 30, 2009 | post #68)

Do I think it's the [governments] responsibility to be [my] wetnurse? Not by a longshot. That's a belief you falsely attributed to me in your haste to defend the radical conservative ideology you've been programmed to believe. Perhaps next time you'll inquire as to my political beliefs before making assumptions that embarass you. (Nov 30, 2009 | post #64)

Not quite one-term, former Governor Palin is an anti-intellectual who soundly agreed with Rush Limbaugh that self-analyzation is not a redeeming quality. This seemed especially strange to me in that every about the U.S. Army is marked by self-analyzation; more properly known as After Action Reviews. Conservative she may claim to be, but not any kind of conservatism I'll choose for my, our, country. (Nov 30, 2009 | post #61)

It's quite interesting that so many of the 'this is a Christian Nation' crowd will devote three to four hours a day to radio therapy between Limbaugh, Hannity, and Beck, yet come sunday you'll more likely find them at camp couch nursing a six-pack behind the television. Mmmmm.... (Nov 30, 2009 | post #59)
