Oxycontin Class Action Lawsuit

Obviously you have never even gazed upon the spine of a law book let alone opened one. There are no legit complaints from either of them because they are leading normal lives due to the medication. They would be counter-sued and be forced to pay court costs for wasting the time of Big Pharm. As far as you go, you were physically dependent on an opioid medication, just like everyone else that takes them for long periods of time. What did you expect. To be able to stop taking cold turkey oxycodone/Oxyconti n and have no withdrawl symptoms after 2 years?  (Jul 18, 2007 | post #217)

Topamax Reduces Number Of Monthly Migraine Days In Chroni...

As long as you followed the dosing instructions to go up slowly, I cannot remember how slowly you are supposed to go up. But anyway, yes the side effects do wear off and go away. I have been on 100mg of topamax since October and it has been a life saver!  (Jul 3, 2007 | post #30)

Talwins & Temgesic, vs Oxycontin & Hydrocodone

Actually what Mudbone has told you is not entirely right. If you are not accustomed to taking strong narcotic medications than taking a percocet and a vicodin/lortab/nor co close together can cause you to have an upset stomach. In fact, just the percocet can cause you to get an upset stomach until you get used to taking them, you may need to call you doctor and ask for promethazine which is an anti-emetic to help keep you from being sick while taking these medications. It is very normal for folks taking morphine to require a sickness medication because of sickness. Good luck, Brian  (Jun 22, 2007 | post #23)

talwin nx get high?????

Narcan is only funcional when injected. Swallowing it does little or no good for a person in overdose this is why they inject people that are in OD situations that and they are usually passed out... Talwin is not a very prescribed medication, I really don't know much about it other than I read yesterday that it is for mild to moderate pain and was used by addicts in the 80s for fun so they put the Nalaxone in it to stop the heroine addicts from using it.  (Jun 22, 2007 | post #4)

talwin nx get high?????

I don't think so because the actual talwin itself is a agonist/antagoist medication with a ceiling. I think. I could be wrong and am most of the time, whatever you do don't shoot it up, the NX is nalaxone and that I know is an antagontist and will cause you to go into opiate withdraw like RIGHTNOW if you take other opiates.  (Jun 22, 2007 | post #2)

Use of Oxycontin.

Oxycontin and MS contin are 2 totally different medications. You are not taking oxycontin you are taking MS contin if you are taking Morphine Sulphate and no 180mgs a day os not too much. You can go much higher since there is no ceiling to the amount of agonist opiate/opioid medication that you are currently taking. Oxycontin = Oxycodone Extended Release MS Contin = Morphine Sulphate Extended Release  (Jun 20, 2007 | post #2)

Mother warns others of deadly drug

I am hanging in. Kind of going crazy because the insurance company is ready for me to go back to work but the doctor has me out on 100% disability and I have an appointment to see him on the 28th but I just got a letter from the doc and he will be out of town that day so I don't know what to tell the insurance company. (They pay me...) The weather change has really put me in a bad way with pain, headaches and back pain so I am struggling to keep up with the baby but he cannot understand at 20 months old why daddy is in pain and cannot get out to the park and play today like we did every day in the winter when the humididty was low and the temp was down. It has been tough for the past 3 weeks, I am hoping to adjust because the weather adjusted overnight on us.  (Jun 20, 2007 | post #77)

Shooting/Injecting Oxy.....?

CLS I too have learned about a new medication that may save your marriage. It is called suboxone. If you have not had your husband try it. Go to www.naabt.com and look through the stuff they have and go to the support forum and then find a doctor in your area and have him get into treatment. It very well may change your entire lives for the good, you are right, unlike Sammy you are married and have different commitments that you have to live for. Thanks for the kind words and I hope that the link sent to you can help you. Best of luck, Brian  (Jun 19, 2007 | post #55)

I think my wife is using OC and hiding it

Ahh, I thought it was going to put you into withdraw, on purpose because it is an antagonist and that is the problem with having an emergeny room visit and not knowing the person is using bupe. The doc might put morphine in you thinking you need pain reliefe and put you into bad WD. According to the Bupe website that is what they warn against anyway. Sorry I havent had the chance to call, we are crazy here right now and I am running out the door. If you don't mind a call after 9 or 10 I will call tonight or in the afternoon on fathers day if that is ok?  (Jun 16, 2007 | post #22)

I think my wife is using OC and hiding it

You are in a terrible situation right now. You really need to look at getting her into treatment with suboxone. If you can take time off work and start her on the subs, if she takes oxy, she will get very sick and wont want to use so she will likly be successful with the subs. You have to be the most positive person in the world and man you have the hardest row to hoe if this is your desire to make it work. Suboxone is going to be a huge part of this equation and long term here is the key, since you are out of town so much, short term use of subs cannot be the answer here.  (Jun 16, 2007 | post #19)

Are These The Same Drug?

No I am not a pharmacist but I do play one on tv....lol... No I have been reading about the generics all over the place and everyone hates the Dava ones but they are the only ones allowed until after the 1st of the year. Make sure you dont get the generics next month, Dava is allowed to manufacture until the 1st they can sell until they are gone from what I have read.  (Jun 14, 2007 | post #4)

First and foremost I believe in Jesus Christ as my personal saviour but I also believe in second chances for people! I am currently seeking my second career, trying to get into Stetson school of law and with in 7 years I would like to become a Public Defender. There are too many criminals given immunity and too many innocent people put in jail because of smart criminals and crappy system PD's that don't care. I would like to be there and care.
