How long before feeling the effects of Zoloft (Sertraline)?

Hey! How is everyone? I'm talking to my doctor soon and planning to come off. It's been over a year and I'm still on the smallest dose. I feel strong enough and I feel ready. :)  (Jul 9, 2014 | post #11)

The Positives of AntiDepressants

Hey how is everyone? It's been a year for me on Zoloft and everything is great. I started at 25 mg and stayed on it. I still have a lot of stress going on in my life but I'm able to work through it. I rarely get anxiety anymore but when I do I have trained myself to relax and ride the wave. :) hope everyone is well!  (Jun 6, 2014 | post #176)

Had a pretty intense panic attack today unfortunately but I breathed and got through it. Felt like it lasted for hours but it was only for five minutes. Proud of myself for getting through it though. I figured out that i dont get them randomly anymore, i get them when i have very high levels of stress. How is everyone doing?  (Apr 23, 2014 | post #115)

My sister has been having severe panic attacks for the past 3 years and she just had another one last night. She has a dr appointment next Tuesday and I think they're most likely going to put her on Zoloft so I told her about this blog and how supportive and helpful everyone is. :) so we may be getting a new "face" around here.  (Mar 6, 2014 | post #93)

Oh my gosh so am I! My whole anxiety thing started last may so I obviously wasn't able to enjoy my summer. I can't wait to finally enjoy it this year!  (Feb 18, 2014 | post #72)

I have a question, and I'm not being a smart ass; just curious. Why are you posting that kind of stuff on here? Are you honestly against antidepressants or are you just trying to get a rise out of people who are just trying to feel better about themselves? Everyone has a right to their opinion and I am not bashing you for yours, but instead of posting on a thread with innocent people who are trying to feel better, why don't you start something of your own? Like try and find other coping strategies in order to help people who are depressed/suffering from anxiety. Again, not being a smart ass. Just very curious.  (Feb 3, 2014 | post #59)

Yay good! How long have you been on them? I've probably asked you 500 times but my memory is not the best lol.  (Jan 30, 2014 | post #39)

I've been on 25 mg for about 8 months now and I haven't had a really bad day in foreverrr! I'm actually going through a break up right now and I'm not over reacting and my anxiety isn't shooting up. :) soooo silly me forgot to take my medicine last night and I just remembered when I got to work this morning. (I didn't take it bc it's at home.) but I'm feeling fine! I'm so happy about that. I will take it at normal time. Hope Everyone is doing well!  (Jan 28, 2014 | post #31)

I can't believe that it is either. I don't think it could've been reported or anything right? Because its been up for so long... I guess this could be the new safety blanket for people.  (Jan 24, 2014 | post #9)

Hey! What happened? I was so sad when I found out the thread was removed. It helped me so much! I will try to remember other usernames from the previous board.  (Jan 23, 2014 | post #3)

How long until you feel the effects of Zoloft?

Was just talking about how Im so excited to come off but I accidentally missed my dose last night. Was fine all day and had some coffee so now I'm feeling a little jittery. Definitely not like how it was in the beginning though so I am very happy. :)  (Jan 19, 2014 | post #13087)

How long until you feel the effects of Zoloft?

You said you've only been on them for a month right? The good days will come soon I promise! It took a couple of months for me to start having really good days and now I've been on them for 7 months and I haven't had a bad day in about two weeks. Eventually the bad days start lessening and you'll have more good days, then you will realize that all you're having is good days. (I mean like "back to normal days." Of course were not gonna be happy 24/7)  (Jan 18, 2014 | post #13086)
