Fortune smiles upon you. She is resigning due to health problems. If only CCSD was that fortunate with trying to get rid of their former finance manager who thought he was a superintendent. It would have been a stretch to have him voluntary resign due to his severe narcissism.  (Sep 4, 2014 | post #6)

Kirtland takes steps toward becoming a town

Im having a little trouble getting my mind around the math. I thought that Kirtland was a much larger city than 450 of those tax paying citizens they seem to be so proud of. There are more people in the infamous 3rd ward there. In addition the two forms of government that kirtland claims; Valley Water and Sanitation Sewer District and the Lower Valley Water Users Association, both seem to be lacking any navajo representation. I imagine that is how they would like to keep their nifty new town. Why else would they start it so small. Nice try Duncan, Oh to clear up the tax deadbeat county treasurer comment above. County Treasurer Duncan was delinquent on his property taxes to the tune of $13K, and had it listed on a delinquent tax sale this summer. At least that is what the official notice of the auction from the state said. I think Mr. Duncan should clear things like that up before he tries to become the mayor of Kirtland.  (Sep 4, 2014 | post #2)

Skandera: CCSD School District Can’t Split

Just an bump to the top for the two year anniversary. Things aren't perfect in CCSD but it is better. Maybe one of the Mannings can give us an update on their continuing and futile efforts.  (Jun 7, 2014 | post #31)

County Tax forclosure sale

A proptery has to be behind at the county level for two years before it is forwarded to the state. If the state did mess up as stated why isn't there mention if it in the press.  (Jun 6, 2014 | post #21)

County Tax forclosure sale

I wonder if anyone forwarded this to the daily times, state treasurer, and attorney general. It seems there is a bit of a conflict of interest between this man's personal dealings and the public office he holds. Considering how he had pandered to tea party interests for support I find him not paying his own property taxes reflects a great deal of hypocrisy. What other ethical and moral shortcomings are out there with our county treasurer.  (Jun 4, 2014 | post #19)
