You know I'd also like to know where were the school admins? I mean if our kids would have won that money and trophy would have gone to the school. You would think someone would have been there to cheer on the kids.  (Nov 12, 2013 | post #2)

I'd like to congratulate our kids for competing and doing their best. We even had one in the final 4.  (Nov 9, 2013 | post #1)

R&A Orchards get rid of the school kids!!!!

I agree, but if there are tourist then there is a reason for more businesses. I also agree about the retired people. I have no problem with them but new blood helps growth.  (Oct 18, 2013 | post #18)

For now but as they have a good time and word spreads, more people will come, that means more money which means a better town. It's a small inconvenience. That aside my point was, we need an infusion of new people and new money yet when people try to come here all they see are the people like the one I quoted saying get out, we don't want you or need you. That's no way to grow or survive.  (Oct 17, 2013 | post #16)

No war in Syria

Maybe I missed it but what evidence points to the rebels?  (Sep 7, 2013 | post #8)

No war in Syria

As a vet with 2 combat tours in Iraq then another 7 years there as a contractor, I feel that the military has the discipline and fortitude to carry out any missions set before them. With all due respect to the "greatest generation" our people in the military today is surpassed by none. While I feel we could handle this situation I believe we simply shouldn't have to. That country holds nothing for us. No resources, no real tactical importance, they aren't allies and they aren't part of the global treaty against the use of chemical weapons. So why in the world would we go there and fight even a limited war? Unfortunately the answer is simple. To save face. We went into Iraq and Afghanistan and kicked ass. We destroyed their military and toppled their governments in a matter of days. Then we screwed up. We should have packed up and went home but we stayed to help them rebuild. Those people did not want their hearts and minds won they wanted to be lead and with an iron fist. So now it looks like we, America can't finish what we start. Like it or not our President said here is our red line and someone crossed it. If we don't do something we are weak, we never finish what we start, our word isn't good anymore. Blame Obama, this is another time he spoke without thinking but now we the people have to back up his big mouth.  (Sep 6, 2013 | post #6)

Sumpreme Court strikes down California Mixed Marriage Law

I had a friend growing up, his mom was married 3 times. Her first 2 husbands went gay and I think her 3rd died. The first was his father. I do wonder about his mom though, she must have some strange power to convert men to the other side.  (Jun 28, 2013 | post #16)

Blood drawn by force....

You could be right. Maybe I was thinking DNA. I think they just okayed cops to take a cheek swab without a warrant. I'll have to check though.  (Jun 28, 2013 | post #7)

SCOTUS already ruled in favor of this. I don't like it any more than you but it's law now.  (Jun 27, 2013 | post #2)

Actually I'm not a libtard. I'm not a conservatard either. I'm someplace in the middle. Not that I need to defend myself but I'm all for guns, and the rights of the individual, less taxes and the military, of which I served 12 years and did 2 combat tours. There are now and have ALWAYS been gay people. That hasn't brought the end of the world. Letting them be married and have the same rights as everyone else is the right thing to do. God, if there is such a thing, has no place in politics. We have that separation for a reason. Our leaders need to create laws for the people based on need and the betterment of our society. Gay marriage doesn't harm us at all. Or, you can find real proof that it does and try to change my mind.  (Jun 27, 2013 | post #11)

Again, won't affect me. I've been married for almost 20 years to a great woman and am very secure in my sexuality. That said if two people of the same gender want to be wed, it doesn't bother me one bit. This is the 21st century and it's time we moved past the little things, there is so many more problems out there.  (Jun 26, 2013 | post #6)
