Police: Armed robber takes cash from Gettysburg outlet store

Actually, nowhere did I deny it happened. I'm just denying that it happened as reported. Lots of questions left unanswered when everything seems to have ended so neat and tidy. I'm guessing there's no chance that the guy who admitted his involvement (not that he acted alone) could have been in it with the store employee from the beginning, right? They couldn't have planned it, or had him come into the store, taken the money and had her tell a bogus story to the police. Maybe he got cold feet. Maybe he'll squeal on her to get a reduced sentence. We'll find out soon enough.  (Mar 19, 2014 | post #13)

Of course. You have no real info and nothing to contribute, so you just ignore all the questions, name-call and insult. Big surprise there... If you know so much about Gettysburg's crime rate, think it's such a disgrace and such a horrible place, two questions come to mind. First, why do you really care about it or about what happens there? Second, why do you take time to post on a Gettysburg Internet forum insulting the town and its people? If you hated it all so bad, the smart thing to do would be to just ignore it and to not respond. I'm going to guess that few people have ever accused you of being smart or of having done the smart thing, right?  (Mar 19, 2014 | post #5)

Oh, and by the way (for the less informed), "Stroker Ace" was a Burt Reynolds movie from the early 1980's. I know, I know, you'll probably deny that too.  (Mar 19, 2014 | post #3)

So you read an article and believe everything. First the story was a gun, then it was a BB gun. The person admitted with no pressure. No way could that mean that he and the girl in the store were in on it, right? Nah. The papers or online forums didn't say they were, and you probably believe everything you read. Do you live in Gettysburg? How much time do you spend in Gettysburg? You claim that tourists are often robbed there, even though in reality it happens very little. If it happened a lot, the town merchants would pressure the local cops, because a few of the town merchants control most of the town's money. Their businesses depend on the tourist trade, and if tourists were often robbed they'd stop coming. Do you often make accusations and insults with a superior attitude but with no real facts or information to back it up? You act like you know everything and you're better than everyone, but in reality you have to come across as a tough guy because you're really clueless. Saying that this robbery was a scam and there's more to it than what we're being told isn't denying that it happened, by the way.  (Mar 19, 2014 | post #2)

Curious as to how saying someone is scamming, filing a police report and stealing cash from their employer is denying a crime problem exists and being an apologist? It's a sad situation. The report in the papers isn't from law enforcement who saw the robbery or arrived on the scene while it was happening. The report is based on what the witness told to the police, and I hope the police are investigating the fraud she is trying to pull off.  (Mar 18, 2014 | post #11)

Gettysburg bookstore robbery was a scam. No robbery ever occurred. It was a scam by the book store employee to get much-craved attention and sympathy, and to take a few extra dollars while blaming someone else.  (Mar 18, 2014 | post #8)
