For everyone who says he shouldnt have bought it. How about if you let us decide what you spend your money on. If he wants to buy a sphinx next, that is his business. If you dont like it, look over at the pawn shop or keep your eyes on the road as you go by.  (Nov 20, 2010 | post #21)

3 weeks later, still not smoking. I have to say, it was very hard going to Louisville Tuesday and back Wednesday. I still get a real big craving while driving. That was the worst so far. With the wife asleep on the way back, I was sooooo wanting a cigg.  (Nov 19, 2010 | post #29)

What are you Thankful for?

I am thankful for my great family. What I consider a great life. And for my families and my health is pretty good for now. Those are the importiant things in life I believe.  (Nov 17, 2010 | post #2)

Whats next Pikeville

Years ago, Pikeville had a massage parlor. I remember driving down the 4 lane and seeing all the oriental women out there beside the road waving at people barely wearing anything. I dont think I have to say it wasnt in business long do I?  (Nov 17, 2010 | post #21)

Pike Co. boy kicked azz in Louisville last night

"LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Rakeem Buckles scored 17 points and Louisville christened its new downtown arena with an 88-73 upset of No. 16 Butler on Tuesday night. Terrence Jennings added 13 points and eight rebounds while Elijah Justice and Preston Knowles added 12 points each as the Cardinals withstood a late surge by the Bulldogs to open the KFC Yum! Center with a win..." This is the sam eElijah Justice that lead the Shelby Valley Wildcats to back to back All A state championships. Along with a Sweet 16 Championship, and being voted Mr. Basketball in the state of Ky. EJ got in the game with 14 minutes and some change left in the first half. To me, he looked a little nervous but that should be expected. The brand new KFC YUM center was rocking and rolling the first half. Things got quiet in the second half. It could have been because the Cards already had things under control, or the fouls. Way to many fouls called. But The Univ. of Louisville has a area to match any in the country. It is a amaing venue. I guess all the people who was saying he wont play till his jr. or senior year was wrong. They was the same ones who was saying he is to short to play major D-1 ball. I guess he proved everyone wrong last night. Great game EJ. Looking forward to more trips to the Ville to watch you play more this year.  (Nov 17, 2010 | post #1)

Whats next Pikeville

With the football team, they left the turf out in the rain to long. All the rubber pellets washed otu of the turf so it isnt any good. $100,000 dollars is what I heard it cost for it, now it is ruined. I am sure if they want to get more they will. But still, I think it should be used more by us in the Eastern part of the state, not just going to watch others use it all the time.  (Nov 14, 2010 | post #12)

Doctors in/around Pikeville

LOL, the last time I went, I had to get a shot in my elbow, fluid drained off my knees, and the main reason I had to go, stitches in my head from a starter falling on it.  (Nov 14, 2010 | post #6)

Doctors in/around Pikeville

I know what you mean about the Family Practice Clinic, I have been going there for years. It is bad when every year or two you have a new doctor. I think that is more of a clinic like setting than a actual family doctor. But in my case, I might go two or three years without seeing a Dr. so it works out great for me.  (Nov 14, 2010 | post #4)

Whats next Pikeville

I listened to Gary Johnson on the radio talking about the Expo Center. He said on the air when he voted for funding for the Expo, it wasnt so it would make a profit or even break even. He said he knew it wasnt going to be a big money maker. He said he wanted it to be used. Rent it out for a wedding, reception, family reunion, anything. It has a cement floor. Why cant once or twice a month it be used as a roller rink? Concerts and stuff are great in my opinion, but it needs to be used for anything besides sitting there empty. They have dirt for the monster trucks. Why not put in a track for dirt bike or 4 wheeler races? They can have the locals race and if enough gets in, the top two go against pros that are brought in. The possibilities for that place are are way so many that it is a shame it is being ignored. They have a basketball court they can put in there for the Bears to play on. Why not have a high school tournament? I know the FB Classic is a good thing. But it isnt the same as a tournament. Let one team come out on top. But to make a long story short. All the managers of the Expo now come from out of state. They are more worried about making a profit than losing a dime. What good is a building like that just sitting there not making any money but costing money. The electric, heat, all that is still on in it while nothing is going on.  (Nov 14, 2010 | post #6)

Naked people on campus

I have done the modeling thing before. It has been a few years though. It isnt anything sexual at all. Mostly it is boring. I would suggest anyone who thinks anything different should try it before they knock it. Who knows, you might be like me and learn something about yourself in the process.  (Nov 14, 2010 | post #18)
