Yuminale Releases Transitory Glow

Url: http://www.yuminal e.com Sound: http://www.yuminal e.com/audio/Spheri c_hifi.mp3 Lovers of modern chill, downtempo and ambient music will find this work irresistible. Harder to categorize than many of its peers, Yuminale has been described as refreshing and unique, with a sound all its own. A few more extended and complex works - reminiscent of the great days of Album-Oriented Rock (AOR) - appear throughout this latest effort, more so than in the previous releases. Yuminale is in no rush on this album, which is perfect for people who like to put on the phones and get lost for awhile. Yuminale's previous releases - including the self-titled Yuminale and Twilight in the Opal Atrium - have won devoted fans around the world, including one Amazon music customer who dubbed the contents of these CDs "amazing music ... highly recommended." "I have not heard anything like this music before," said Magda Capurso. "It's just beautiful. There is an ethereal quality to the music that is so serene, yet mesmerizing and unforgettable. Each track has its own feel, and takes you on a divine journey. Great for relaxing or working. Excellent to inspire creativity. This music is simply art for the senses." Maximilian March enthused: "The tune "Been Here Before" from Twilight in the Opal Atrium is truly wonderful. I sincerely love it. Every time it comes on our MaxMarchRadio broadcasts, I stop what I’m doing to soak it in and give it my full attention. I can literally feel it sink/sync into my soul. It begins in a very unassuming way, but by the time it reaches the signature of those mystic chords, one has no choice but to surrender to it. Put simply, the track is genius." Transitory Glow will be available at online outlets such as iTunes, CDBaby and Amazon. Streaming and downloads are available at www.yuminale.com/m usic.html and www.last.fm/music/ yuminale.  (Dec 17, 2009 | post #1)

Koko Dozo Signs To Red Star Records

Url: http://www.musicdi sh.net/kokodozo/ Sound: http://www.myspace .com/kokodozo New York-based electro disco duo Koko Dozo announced that they signed a deal with Red Star Records, run by former New York Dolls manager, A&R/record producer Marty Thau (Suicide, The Real Kids, The Fleshtones). The label will release Koko Dozo's debut EP in March 2010. Koko Dozo truly is music for the Space Age. It's ultra modern and it's made using the latest technology and olde skool organic matter. They're beaming up sound waves that vibrate in the key of GROOVE, dipped in the house special surreal sauce. Urban organica. Celestial demonica. Yeah...Space Is The Face. Amy Douglas & Polarity/1 are from planet Koko Dozo. What planet are you from? They discovered Earth on Feb. 23, 2008 when Nacotheque hosted the release party for their debut, ILLEGAL SPACE ALIENS on subTEKst Recordings. Polarity/1, multi-instrumental ist/arranger/compo ser/producer, makes songs without borders and beats for curved dancefloors using REAL SPACE-AGE COMPUTERS! In his laboratory cave, he grinds shards of lost cultural artifacts, barks and growls of ghosts in machines and luminescent sarcastic spaghetti. Then a pinch or two of the house special surreal spice. P/1 has four cult classic CDs of both electro-folk songs and all-instrumental electronica on subTEKst including Audioplasm, a duo project with Rubio. He also composes for film and for performances by Battery Dance Company and Quorum Ballet of Lisbon. Out of this smoking brew flies Inter-Galactic Empress Amy Douglas who vaporizes the earwax of her victims with four and half octaves worth of nuclear acid lung power. She's a punky songwriting funkette who sharpened her teeth on earth at downtown NYC legendary music haunts and has worked numerous legends from George Clinton to the late great Illinois Jacquet. Her most recent venture was Red Hot Mama, a Hard Rock Vaudeville Show which featured wild cabaret rendi-tions of hard rock, punk & heavy metal classics. From jazz to funk to punk, there is nothing her tongue hasn't touched.  (Nov 24, 2009 | post #1)
