Kansas Open Meetings and Open Records Training Sessions

comment, If it is online, why does the ag have to travel? from the article: The schedule for the sessions is a follows: * July 18 - Emporia Civic Auditorium, 111 E. 6th Ave. 9 a.m.-12 p.m. * July 19 - Kansas City Public Library, 635 Minnesota Ave. 9 a.m.-12 p.m. * July 19 - Topeka Memorial Hall Auditorium, 120 S.W. 10th Ave. 2 p.m.-5 p.m. * July 21 - Hays Public Library, 1205 Main St. 9 a.m.-12 p.m. * July 22 - Independence Public Library, 220 E. Maple St. 9 a.m.-12 p.m. You are correct, some may not follow the law. Do you think those people would go to these training sessions in the first place? Let's have a follow up on this story and see how many showed up for the "training Sessions" and the cost per person that it cost for the travel and other expenses.  (Jun 15, 2011 | post #3)

Wouldn't the state save some taxpayer money by having this on line? I mean they could hold it in Topeka and with tweet-email and such take questions without all the travel costs. Let's start thinking about stuff like that Mr. AG  (Jun 12, 2011 | post #1)

Wow, California ! You must be intelligent. Friends in New York, what part? Lot's of good farm land in New York and California. Good wines from both states too. Some are almost as good as our Kansas vintages. Sorry if some grammar and punctuation are incorrect. A lot of us were shorted on book learning here in the heartland. Have you read any good books lately?  (May 30, 2011 | post #30)

GOP presidential contenders drift to the right

The religious right has ruined the republican party. Why don't they start the "Christ Party" and let the repubs alone? Judging from the candidates so far our president will be re-elected. but really, there is about 1 and 1/2 years to go before the election. If we don't come together as Americans and solve some problems now, will there be a country left to have elections in?  (May 30, 2011 | post #18)

Whatif, Your thoughts about this being a student project has some merit, and could be true. If so, what would be the controls? What I mean is; How do you know which forum posts are on the level and which posts are someone just joking around trying to provoke a argument? What would the reaction be if the last few posters on this forum found out that silly rabit was using this forum as research for their doctorate thesis? If you go back to the start of this forum and read all of the rabit posts, a reasonable person would know the rabit is having a little fun. Speaking of county lines, our county suffered a tornado last Sat, night which destroyed the small town (pop.251) of Reading Ks. The coming together of hundreds of volunteers to help those who suffered losses is a tribute to those small town local caring people who don't venture out much. And having friends in Joplin, and what they are dealing with. makes me well aware of our temporal states. I would like to thank Silly Rabit for their dose of humor, it helps to joke around once in a while.  (May 27, 2011 | post #32)
