Wearing many hats - Hawaii Business

Well Da! Tell us something we don't know. I've lived in Hawaii for over 45 years and it's ALWAYS been that way. Husband and wife both work and also have a 2nd or even a 3rd job in order to survive.  (Jan 12, 2010 | post #1)

Not all air incidents terrorism - Hawaii Editorials

I don't know.... some idiot acting crazy on any flight I'm on is kind of "terroristic " to my way of thinking. They should be duct taped to their seat... and on landing, locked up for a year.  (Jan 11, 2010 | post #6)

Now that the state owns all the beaches, how do we keep DLNR from banning all the access to go fishing there?  (Jan 5, 2010 | post #6)

Roadblock continues despite 7 arrests in Laie land disput...

I think there are companies out there who do Title Searches. I think a Title Search is required any time one sells land.... or at least a good idea to make sure it's a clear title. I think a title search would be a good place to start.  (Dec 30, 2009 | post #57)

Protesters won't bite on proposal - Hawaii News

We know that there are at least 3200 freshwater anglers out there.(they bought a fishing licence to go catfishing) When DLNR announced the closing of the catfish season... these 3200 rose up in protest..... and DLNR backed down. I wonder how many saltwater fisherman there are? To bad we have no way of knowing. They could be a considerable political force to recon with. Sad. In a servey 10 years ago.... 1 out of every 3 people in the US went fishing at least once a year. I bet Hawaii has a better average. Sad, we have no way of knowing. Very sad. That's a lot of voters.  (Dec 29, 2009 | post #10)

I'm not saying "legalize gambling".... I could care less. What I am saying is "put it to a vote by the people". If we can "gamble" on the rail vote, surley we can "gamble" on a gambling vote. LOL LOL LOL  (Dec 28, 2009 | post #16)

Security boost gives travelers some comfort - Hawaii News

One factor that has not been mentioned in this whole terror attack is that President Obama has NOT appointed a Director of the office of TSA in a year! The office is running with an acting director, a capable lady, for a year. It is an agency that essentially has been "on hold" for a year and is a slap in the face of the millions of traveling citizens! It is also time to recognize that "profiling people" by nationality, religion, geography makes vastly more sense than getting tougher and tougher on the average Jane or Joe traveler. Ask your Senator or Congress Member to demand this office be filled and that Common Sense be applied in airport security.  (Dec 28, 2009 | post #12)
