Maywood, NJ forum administration

Anybody know how works? The Maywood site is being pretty much owned by a few trolls, and possibly some bad moderation. Another user posted that he had tried to address the issue with management and hit a brick wall. (Soon after, his post was deleted, which is much of the problem.) Anyway, if anybody out there can tell me how it works, or who to contact to get it resolved, I'd appreciate it. I expect the very same trolls may join us here. Then again, if they had any courage they wouldn't need to play games over there, so probably not. Thanks in advance for any information.  (Feb 15, 2008 | post #1)

Maywood forum on

Another bunch of threads are deleted this afternoon. It seems to be a consistent if not constant pattern. accepts no feedback, and its moderation is quirky at best, leaving quite offensive posts, but removing any reference to a competing website (like Topix), or any comments about their own website, other than praise. There are users on the Maywood board who may know how to manipulate the system,or the admins, into deleting threads. One is "NeedNEWMC, " and another is "Bagodonuts, " Threads have been edited to favor those users, or to the disadvantage of others, including myself. I have created a discussion forum for Maywood, and no mention of that is tolerated either.'s view of the internet seems contrary to everywhere else, where "links" are generally considered useful, and "networking " a good thing. The behavior of the board is similar to that of an emotionally unbalanced person. Weird, is what it is.  (Feb 15, 2008 | post #1)

Glen Rock Schools' Lousy Music Program

The attrition rate in Glen Rock's music program has been attributed to one, man, incompetent and tenured. The program in the early grades is wonderful. Then it goes to hell in a bucket, all because of one individual. Parents are being shushed by sympathetic teachers and administrators whose hands are tied. Apparently they are also concerned about financing for some big project. If things are as they appear, what a shame these great kids are being turned off to music because the administrators and officials can't, and the teachers union won't, lift a finger to set the situation right. But have the unions ever paid more than lip service to the welfare of children and students? Of course not. Here is a case in point, or so it seems.  (Feb 14, 2008 | post #1)
