who is more racist white or black people?

Some of the worst hateful racial comments I have ever heard, came from the mouths of my so-called " Christian brothers and sisters " who were and still are church leaders in some of our local churches. They even spoke their slurs while in church. They are white. And this was a real eye-opener, revealing to me that racial hatred is not a natural thing...IT IS TAUGHT ! Adults could learn an awful lot watching young children in kindergarten and early school grades as they make new friends among themselves fascinated with the differences in their skin color and yet embracing their new friendships without racial influences not yet having an opportunity to destroy that innocence. Holy Scripture teaches us..." And a little child shall lead them. " FOR THE SAKE OF ALL HUMANITY IN THE 21st CENTURY....LET IT BE SO !  (Jan 13, 2013 | post #69)

IT'S TIME YOU GOSSIPING LOONIES GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT ! NO STEVEN POWELL WAS INVOLVED IN THIS! Be very careful how you loosley sling names around on these websites. There are 4 Steven Powells in Prentiss County and none of them were involved. Jacob was the only individual on the scene who pulled a knife and defended himself. This whole incident has been recorded on video and is now part of the case so I highly suggest you all stop your speculating without the facts.  (Jan 3, 2013 | post #61)

Why is Dees Oil gas so high in Booneville?

Folks, listen up! You have so much more consumer power than you think when it comes to local shopping. Our local merchants, especially our grocery stores, and I mean all of them, think they can squeeze the life out of your wallets. NOT SO. You are the ones with the money to spend. They are desperate to sell their merchandise. When a loaf of bread or a can of chicken noodle soup becomes a luxury item....It's time to get our message across. They must lower their prices or close their doors. That's the bottom line. But this is our responsibility...to get that message across. We that that by simply refusing to buy from them. Much of the grocery products in our stores is perishable. We need to remind our local merchants that we are aware of that. Every time we buy something in our local stores or any other store, which we know is priced too high...we have given that merchant aou approval and permission to rip us off. The only way to stop that, is to refuse to buy from them. If enough of us who typically do repeat business with them band together and do this, it won't take long before they will get that message...LOWER YOUR PRICES OR YOU'LL BE CLOSING YOUR DOORS! It's up to us consumers to do this. It may take a few sacrices here and there.. but in the long run....it will be more than worth it. This movement needs to sweep across the country...so pass it on.  (Dec 16, 2012 | post #10)

Why is Dees Oil gas so high in Booneville?

True, not locally. But there is a federal excise tax collected on every gallon sold across America...and our Federal government has complete control over the price at the pump. FACT !  (Dec 16, 2012 | post #9)

Why is Dees Oil gas so high in Booneville?

Trust me, it's the local station owner ripping Booneville off. Dees was one of the lowest prices we found up in Corinth at 2.86 a gallon a couple days ago. Booneville citizens need to call our Attourney General in Jackson any time our local merchants ripp us off like that. He puts a quick stop to that crapp ! We know, we have seen him do it. But you must call and report the crooks.  (Dec 16, 2012 | post #8)

If any of you are genuinely touched by the tragedy that happened in Connecticut, are you of our community willing to bombard our local retailers including Walmart, Freds, Dollar General, Family Dollar, every Pawn Shop in town and any other retailer close by and at a distance ...with pressure to remove the violent video games from their shelves. This would includ pressure on our lawmakers to bann the sale of these video games just the way they have banned pornography. No doubt, from the way the gunman was described how he was dressed and armed, I, like many of the young people in our own community, spent countless hours litterally hooked to those video games day and night, repeatedly virtually blowing people away. Late into the nights our local video addicts can be found immursed in this violence...and when they finally do lay down to sleep, I CAN ASSURE YOU, IT ISN'T VISIONS OF SUGARPLUMS THEY SEE DANCING IN THEIR HEADS! These games are as addicting as tobacco, drugs, and any other mind-controlling influence out there. If this community really cares, you will take immediately action in this direction including communicating with our Banner Independant over this matter. The problem is real and it must be addressed. The pressure of the people is what it will take. Please pass this thread on as far as you can..for all our sakes.  (Dec 16, 2012 | post #2)

After any of you dig into those scripture references that reveal how God thinks, let me ask you this......Will you call God Mean?  (Dec 16, 2012 | post #38)

To all who are following this thread, I am not saying any of this to be mean. I am passing on scriptural warning straight from the Bible. Just as the Prophet Jeramiah put his finger upon the sins of the nation of Israel and pronounced warning from The Lord God, He too was hated, threatened and they even attempted to kill him several times because they refuse to admit their guilt of sin and receive correction. I did'nt make the rules, I'm just as guilty of sin as the next man, but as a servant of God , I must speak the truth, even if it alianates me. My heart aches over the tragedy that occurred, but through the eyes of the Lord, and the grid of Holy Scripture, we all must look at the bigger picture. Cause and affect. Please dig into those Scriptural references I listed and see how God Himself thinks.  (Dec 16, 2012 | post #37)

Connecticut School Shooting Update: One gunman dead, one ...

This is just one more subject that needs to be included in gun-control laws being discussed in Washington DC and across the nation. Let me share my first-hand experience related to the topic. I am an Air Force Veteran. Since I left the Air Force, I have enjoyed the virtual hobby of Flight Sims on my computer. Back in the year 2001, I saw the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 appear on Walmart shelves. At the time I was unable to purchase one. About a week later, right after the 2001 September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center, I went back into Walmart to purchase one of those Flight Sims and the shelves were empty of them. I asked the clerk when they would be getting any more and she said the store was ordered to pull the MS Flight Sim 2000 off the shelves and do not restock them because they included the World Trade Center Towers built into the scenary and they did not want to cause any further influence in such crime. Later I was able to purchase the newer version of MS Flight Sim 2002 which does not have the World Trade Center Towers built into the scenary. Now I said all that to say this....I, like many of you , am aquainted with several young people within my community ranging from about 10 years old up to their early 20s who spend countless hours day and night in front of some of the most violent video games immaginable, repatedly over and over virtually blowing people away on those video screens, getting an enormous addictive high from such entertainment. These young people are as addicted to these games as with tobacco, or drugs, or any other mind-controlling substance available . Late into the night these people can be found immersed in this form of destructive pass-time. And I can assure you, when they finally do lay their heads down on their pillows to go to sleep...IT ISN'T VISIONS OF SUGARPLUMS DANCING IN THEIR HEADS THEY SEE WHEN THEY CLOSE THEIR EYES !" Just hearing the description of how the Connecticut gunnman was dressed and armed gives a clear indication that he too, had been influenced by such graphic entertainment. I don't care how many millions of dollars are spent each year on these video games, A curse be upon this nation if you don't take immediate action to have these video games immediately removed from all retail shelves, including Pawn Shops as well as major retail chaines. I would plead with the American public, as well as our Law-makers to take immediate action in this direction to remove one more MAJOR negative influence on the young minds of our citizens. The problem is real, and your actions in this direction will make a significant impact ! Please pass this thread along to other readers and do your part. Thank You.  (Dec 16, 2012 | post #175)

My dear friend: Let me invite you now to study both Old and New Scripture as they are both valid and in motion as we speak. Here are the scriptures:JOSHUA 6:20-21, 1ST SAMUEL1 15:1-3, 2ND SAMUEL 12: 14-18, EXODUS 11: 4-6, 29-30, JOB 1:9-12, 18-19, HOSEA 13:16, MATHEW 2:16-18, GENESIS 18:20-21, GEN 19:13,24,25, GENESIS 6:17, GEN 7:19-22. DON'T FORGET Jesus referred back to Old Testament several times in New Testament. Jehovah said, I am the Lord Thy God, I Change Not.  (Dec 15, 2012 | post #24)
