Dentist in Costa Rica

Funny one Bob, I agree with you about posting experiences also incase there are other places just as good. I started out looking in Cancun to begin with and after talking with assistant I felt I needed further research and lo and behold I found out about Costa Rica, Now I have heard there are some other countries with excellent dental tourism going on but costa Rica was closer and easier to get there for me. Plus I talked with folks who loved their Drs and experience in CR and I went that direction. Thanks for your post> Soul  (Sep 11, 2014 | post #6304)

Love Orbondo and staff! Treated me with excellent care and like family. He does keep up with education which is very helpful to his practice so I would call office and find out from staff if he is out of office for now. That would explain the generic email. soul  (Aug 16, 2014 | post #6126)

I agree> Beautiful country and can't wait to go back. I would do some sightseeing and excursions before any serious dental work so you will feel up to it. Then do the dental and rest awhile in between dental visits It takes a lot out of you and some discomfort, depending on what treatment you get..  (May 7, 2014 | post #5567)

Oh My!!! So sorry to hear that!!! That's the one thing I hate.... is it's so far and I have no time off to get back there for bite adjustment. So Orbando said to look for a dentist here to fix it. He says it's an easy fix. Sure hope so! I f we lived in Florida it would be so bad. Some of them fly over there for $200.00. Soul Soul  (Apr 24, 2014 | post #5494)

Yes it does. Orbando said I needed grafts also and he would do them same time as implants. Hi Euthie! I sent you a private message. Soulsinger  (Apr 23, 2014 | post #5491)

Hi All, I really miss CR .I just saw a $317.00 plane fare round trip in May out of DC. Great price!!But will have to wait a while before going back for implants. All is going well for me. Still getting used to bite. I am talking much better. Not slurring as much. It will improve day by day. Nova Dental did a great job on my E-max crowns. A soon as they send them, I will have before and after pics. Till then, I am trying to get my energy back. This took a lot out of me.  (Mar 13, 2014 | post #5403)

Thanks Smiley! Yes indeed! Very! I am packing a few soft things to eat while there. Taking advice from the forum. I think Kaver would have been number one for me if not for the implants. What all are you wanting to get done?  (Feb 21, 2014 | post #5331)

Ok. Packing my bags today and heading to DC tomorrow to spend the night and take off to CR on Sunday. We will arrive at CR around 1PM. Not sure about time change. Hope hotel figures that one out when they pick us up. They have flight schedule. Is there a time change anyone??? Dr. Marco and I have been communicating and want to meet. So I am going to try to stop by to see him> I wan to get a good feel of the place and also maybe Kaver. Just for future references. I need to pick up a book on things to do there. Were would I get that? Today is rainy but a warmer day so snow is melting fast and I may get out of states before another big winter storm hits. Feel free to answer questions above with your own experiences. Thanks!  (Feb 21, 2014 | post #5329)

Thanks Van, I just wondered if I don't have to prepay up front to get cash discount at the Christina.. Those that have stayed there, please chime in on when you pay. I get a discount if I pay cash. I want them to hold me a room if I leave for a few days and come back. Also heard they would keep luggage.????  (Feb 20, 2014 | post #5323)
