In tragedy, artists find inspiration, despair

Oh, totally. I know I'd love to have my family murdered if it would help my career. You are disgusting.  (Oct 27, 2008 | post #3)

This group sounds like a charming bunch of individuals. Maybe they should drop out of college and become the fast food workers they're mean to be.  (Oct 4, 2008 | post #33)

Newberry exhibit to showcase children's books

Children's books are such an underrated art form. I found them fascinating and still do at 27. Bravo to the Newberry for featuring them. Another great place to check out children's book art is at the Mazza Gallery on the University of Findlay (Ohio) campus. They've even got originals from one of my favorite books when I was little, Danny the Dinosaur!  (Sep 25, 2008 | post #1)

One woman's reject turns out to be another woman's prize

Actually, fluoride isn't "POISON" at all. A lot of people have misconceptions about fluoride. And I'd love to know how you avoid drinking fluoridated water, since it's everywhere. Maybe you should research the issue a bit more. The link between your having good teeth and having avoided fluoride doesn't prove anything about fluoride. It just proves you have good teeth.  (Sep 24, 2008 | post #47)

Beginnings, and endings, come abruptly

Why do I read this column? Why do I comment on this column? It's a terrible freaking column, poorly written about terrible, shallow, stupid people. I must go away now and never come back. It'll be better for everyone.  (Sep 18, 2008 | post #23)

Maybe they wouldn't have a sense of entitlement if you hadn't raised them with one? Obviously, it's too late to go back and fix everything, but your children learn what they are brought up to understand. I'm not trying to judge you, but don't judge your daughter as if she just gets these crazy ideas from the air.  (Sep 18, 2008 | post #21)

I agree with Amy on LW1's problem, but I disagree with her that women who are attracted to older men somehow have confidence, or whatever, issues. Sometimes liking older men is just liking older men. It doesn't have to be some psychological problem to overcome.  (Sep 18, 2008 | post #11)

Her parents won't approve of boyfriend with 3 kids

I think the important question no one has asked is whether the kids all have the same mother. Is the guy a skeez? And, really, 36 years old? You are a loser and I fear for your child.  (Sep 15, 2008 | post #15)

Marrying older man led to affairs, separation

This woman sounds like a ridiculous, terrible person. Are we supposed to feel bad for her? I think she's full of enough self-pity to make up for any she's not getting from the readers here at Topix.  (Sep 10, 2008 | post #42)
