Weight loss on Citalopram?

I'm not just NOT hungry, I have NOT interest in food. There's a difference. Sometimes food actually turns me OFF.  (Nov 24, 2012 | post #96)

celexa & women's libido

Not if you're going to stick with an SSRI. I will say, though. The generic form of Celexa seems to be lower in this sexual side effect. Also, I've taken it before, and this side effect lessened over time. I went up to 20mg, and lowered it to 10mg. Once on 10mg, it took about a month to see improvements.  (Nov 22, 2012 | post #97)

!!Your Imput!! Lexapro Weight Issues.

Give it some time. The side effects should improve as time goes by. I suggest keeping a journal of your side effects and scheduling a follow up with your prescribing doctor a month or so after starting taking the prescription and bring the journal with you.  (Oct 19, 2012 | post #713)

VIIBRYD USERS - Looking for feedback & experiences

So, I have been hopping on and off (over years) different anti-anxiety/anti- depressant medications looking for THE ONE. I've tried Wellbutrin (twice...made me gain weight instantly both times), Buspar, Topamax, Celexa, Lexapro (all gave me varying degrees of jaw clenching, spaciness, or complete sexual malfunction. Enter Viibryd, the supposed new miracle drug. My doctor tells me to expect diarrhea for 4-5 days (yeah.....), but that it could be the winner. I can't handle the weight gain that comes with so many, and the sexual dysfunction my humble opinion (for myself), if I have no way to reach orgasm OR/AND am gaining weight, my depression/anxiety will be WORSE than if I don't take the meds. And yes, I'm in weekly therapy. Today is Day 1...SLOW increase for me (breaking 2 week pack up, Week One in halves). Follow up in two weeks before I go up in dose. Looking to hear from any with experience on Viibryd. Thank you!  (Oct 2, 2012 | post #1)

Metformin for Lexapro carb cravings... Should I switch to...

I have PCOS and somewhat recently went off Metformin (negative side effects out-weighed the benefits). I also switched from Celexa to Lexapro (again, because of side effects: jaw clenching, reduced ability to orgasm...) a few days ago. I'm very sensitive to prescriptions. I only take 5mg of Lexapro. I asked my doctor about the intense carb cravings that accompany the Lexapro. She said she's never heard of that (I went online and found plenty of reports from users). She offered either restart Metformin at 500mg daily OR switch to Viibryd. Anyone here craving carbs with Lexapro? Anyone here taking both Metformin and Lexapro? Anyone here taking Viibryd?  (Sep 14, 2012 | post #1)
