States eye drug tests for welfare recipients

Okay... well then if a worker who was paying into the welfare system can't apply for welfare at a later date then what's the point? Your problem is with drugs, not welfare fraud. Again you point out the most clear and concise initiative is to end welfare altogether.  (May 28, 2011 | post #735)

Should Police be able to Charge you for DUI at your House?

Actually no. Learn to put paragraphs in your sentences. I don't care if you have the secret to immortality. If it's not properly spaced then I'm not going to read it.  (May 28, 2011 | post #60)

Should Police be able to Charge you for DUI at your House?

I'm not really sure. I have on many occasions been called to incidents involving the police in order to protect my friends. Pretty much I would tell the police to mind their own business and get off the property unless they have evidence in order to obtain an arrest. But other than that I have done nothing to deserve the heinous treatment that they dispatch.  (May 28, 2011 | post #59)

Heyy yea I agree. There are great cops out there. I've met many of them that are really terrific people. But I'm just referring to the bad ones. See when I ask for a field drug test and they don't give it to me. They instead arrest me for cocaine and it turns out to be Bupropion, that's a bad cop. And then I go into the police station, they're asking what my statement is, my statement was the police planted cocaine on me. They all laugh hysterically. It gets dropped later in court. People have no soul.  (May 28, 2011 | post #51)

I have many many many stories about the garbage welfare system. I have many many many friends who are on it. It's a terrible system and people squander the resources that are given. Tax money shouldn't support him but we can't just go around asking everyone to take their wiener out.  (May 27, 2011 | post #712)

LOL HAH! They might...so they don't have to pay taxes they contribute to a non-profit purpose instead.  (May 27, 2011 | post #710)

HUH? Yes they do. Ohh wait, I got it, you make total sense. We print the money instead. And by printing the money we reduce the spending power of a dollar which is the same as a tax.  (May 27, 2011 | post #708)

Using drugs is not a crime. Possessing drugs is a crime.  (May 27, 2011 | post #707)

Let's be simple then. Tax -> Welfare System 1. Taxes collected from workers 2. Tax money given to non-workers 3. Tax payer loses job (marijuana smoker) 4. Tax payer applies for welfare 5. Tax payer rejected Without Welfare System 1. Less taxes 2. More productive economic activity 3. Less Government 4. More jobs 5. No Free-Ride Motto becomes prevalent 6. No excuses  (May 27, 2011 | post #706)

No. If you are in this country and you are not documented, in my opinion there are no rights for you. If such a person gets killed, it's a terrible shame but there's nothing we can do about it. Of course that's just my opinion, my opinion compared to tax money going to illegal alien residents in many forms. However I think it should not be hard to become a citizen, just the fact that the person does it and is on the books.  (May 27, 2011 | post #705)

Of course they are going to try to take away our rights. It's sad the state our country is in. We were so wealthy and productive and then we started down the road of Dr. Utopia's Socialist Plan. I want to nip any right violation of the future, in the bud.  (May 27, 2011 | post #703)

That's true. Still they have every intention to charge you. If I told you my true opinion, I'd get so many dislikes it'd be insane.  (May 27, 2011 | post #702)

Now I agree with this. I don't think any person should collect public money if they are not physically disabled to the point of being unable to work. Still drug testing requires getting your peter out and I do not condone that.  (May 27, 2011 | post #701)

The taxpayers do not have a choice. They have to pay their taxes and it goes to welfare. Then later they apply and they can be rejected on grounds that they use drugs. When they were paying in the first place. The system isn't fair. Unless you can opt out of paying if you use drugs. You'll see my checkmark simply because I don't want to pay for the skewed welfare system.  (May 27, 2011 | post #700)
